JOB SUMMARY:
Jal Bhagirathi Foundation is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive to manage end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for the organisation. The ideal candidate will be a CA, CA Intermediate, or M.Com holder with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, strong command over accounts finalization, TDS compliance, and hands-on proficiency in Tally ERP 9 and MS Office. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage day-to-day accounting entries and maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally ERP
• Handle accounts finalization, including preparation of trial balance, profit and loss account, and balance sheet
• Ensure timely and accurate deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS in compliance with statutory requirements
• Prepare and file periodic returns (TDS returns, GST if applicable, and other statutory filings)
• Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and donor/grant accounts on a regular basis
• Support internal and statutory audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Prepare MIS reports, budget vs actual analyses, and financial summaries for management review
• Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure proper depreciation accounting
• Coordinate with programme teams for grant utilisation tracking and donor reporting
• Ensure compliance with FCRA, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements applicable to non-profit organisations
• Assist in statutory audit, internal audit, and donor audit processes
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for audit readiness
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• The candidate should preferably hold CA /CA Intermediate/M.com.
• The candidate should have 5 to 10 years’ prior experience with knowledge of accounts finalization, TDS, Tally ERP 9 and MS Office.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts finalization and financial statement preparation
• Sound understanding of FCRA, Income Tax, TDS and GST provisions, rates, and compliance timelines
• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 for transaction recording, ledger management, and report generation
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with statutory and regulatory compliance relevant to the non-profit or development sector, including FCRA
• Good organisational and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines
• Effective communication skills for coordination with the Management, internal teams, auditors, and donors
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a mission-driven organisation
REMUNERATION:
Rs. 50,000-75,000 /-
