Job Summary :
The Project Coordinator will support the effective planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of MelJol’s projects focused on children and youth. The role involves close coordination with field teams, stakeholders, and internal managers to ensure timely execution of project activities in alignment with approved plans, budgets, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities :
• Support development and execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual project work plans
• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of project activities and track progress against timelines
• Maintain project documentation, records, and required approvals
• Track basic project budgets and monitor utilisation in coordination with the reporting manager
• Identify and flag delays, risks, or deviations from plans
• Provide operational support and guidance to facilitators and field teams
• Assist in planning and coordinating trainings, workshops, meetings, and exposure
visits
• Maintain records related to trainings, team performance, and field challenges
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, government departments, community stakeholders, and partners
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, follow-ups, and local engagements
• Represent the organisation in meetings and share field-level feedback with project leadership
• Conduct regular field visits to support planning, supervision, and quality implementation
• Facilitate or support sessions, events, and trainings for children, youth, teachers, and community members
• Coordinate community events, campaigns, and outreach activities
• Ensure inclusion of children and youth from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds
• Collect, verify, and compile data and reports from field teams
• Prepare and submit periodic reports as per internal and donor requirements
• Maintain records of attendance, activity reports, case studies, and success stories
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation aligned with reporting timelines
• Share regular updates, photographs, and content inputs for internal communication and social media
• Support project visibility and community-level communication initiatives
• Provide field insights to support advocacy and awareness efforts
• Provide field-level inputs and data for proposals and reporting
• Identify opportunities for local partnerships and collaborations
• Support coordination of donor visits, partner engagements, and exposure programs
Qualifications & Experience :
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Education, or a related field
(Bachelor’s degree with relevant field experience may be considered)
• 2–3 years of experience in project coordination or implementation, preferably in child/youth development, education, life skills, or financial inclusion programs
• Experience working with schools, government departments, and community-based stakeholders
• Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management tools
• Willingness to travel frequently to field locations
