Block Coordinator

Position Details
Project : Adolescent Empowerment Project (UNICEF Supported)

Position : Block Coordinator

No. of Positions : 08

Location:
Jashpur Block : 03 Positions
Janjgir-Champa Block : 03 Positions
Bilaspur Block : 02 Positions (Each Block Coordinator will be responsible for approximately 15 Gram Panchayats within the assigned block.)

Reports To : District Coordinator

Salary : Rs 25,000 per month (CTC)

Job Summary
The Block Coordinator is the primary field-level implementation lead responsible for delivering project activities across 15 assigned Gram Panchayats, ensuring community participation, quality programme implementation, timely reporting and coordination with local stakeholders.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Community Mobilisation and Programme Implementation
• Prepare GP-wise monthly implementation plans covering all 15 assigned Gram Panchayats.
• Mobilise adolescents, caregivers, teachers, PRI members and frontline workers.
• Conduct adolescent meetings, caregiver sessions, community dialogues and school/community follow-up visits.
• Ensure complete coverage of all assigned Gram Panchayats and timely implementation of planned activities.

Programme Activities, Technical Support and Community Convergence
• Organise Village Adolescent Group Meetings.
• Facilitate Positive Parenting (Sahej) meetings.
• Conduct ECM and GBV community dialogues.
• Facilitate Youth and Adolescent Gender Transformative (GT) meetings.
• Coordinate Disability Inclusion meetings and referrals.
• Conduct GP-wise adolescent mapping.
• Support GPDP and School Development Plan issue mapping.
• Carry out accessibility assessments using approved checklists.
• Facilitate Father and Boys Reflection Circles.
• Provide referral and follow-up support for adolescents across assigned Gram Panchayats.

Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain GP-wise field diaries, activity registers and participant lists.
• Collect consented photographs and maintain referral notes.
• Update MIS accurately every month.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and document success stories.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Education or related discipline (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in community development or NGO programs.

• Key deliverables shall be measured through the assigned KRAs and KPIs of the position.
