1. Logistics Coordinator
Role Overview
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth setup and operation of crèche centers by identifying vendors, procuring quality materials, and ensuring the timely delivery of supplies. The role requires a thorough understanding of organizational policies and the materials list required for creche operations, along with regular field visits to running centers to build practical insight into requirements and quality standards. A logistics coordinator typically oversees materials and supplies for 100 or more creches and should proactively flag capacity limits to the foundation's point person where relevant.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
A. Pre-Setup Phase
• Understand organizational policies on various aspects of logistics requirements.
• Support the logistics of the team orientation, wherever possible.
B. Set-Up Phase
• Identify vendors for one-time materials, groceries, toys, measuring equipment, safety gates, fencing, electricity, solar, gas connections, and other required materials for the creche, as well as necessary materials for office setup.
• Support the field team with the necessary materials and resources required to get the space ready.
• Procure and supply all creche setup materials in a timely manner, as per the approved list.
• Collect and verify related quotations, bills, and vouchers associated with procurements.
• Support and facilitate travel claim settlements for team members.
• Make and support arrangements necessary for creche inauguration events.
C. Operational Phase
• Ensure regular and timely collection of material requisitions from supervisors.
• Place orders for creche groceries and supplies following internal procurement processes.
• Conduct regular audits, sampling, and quality checks of items.
• Ensure delivery of creche items every month as per the agreed schedule.
• Visit creches at the time of delivery to verify safe and accurate delivery and confirm that items match the required weight and quality.
• Coordinate with the accounts and finance team for timely payment of bills and vouchers to vendors.
• Track monthly requisitions, analyze trends, and identify meaningful interventions based on utilization and balances for timely action.
• Ensure timely delivery of eggs to centers at an appropriate frequency according to the season.
• Regularly check for FIFO compliance and expired materials at the centers, along with general upkeep of groceries and other materials.
• Document and maintain necessary records, and use them regularly for effective planning and execution.
• Ensure timely availability of cash in the hands of caregivers/supervisors for the purchase of vegetables.
Salary Budget: 30000/-

2. Safety Coordinator
Role Overview
The Safety Coordinator holds overall responsibility for safety across all creche centers, from the design and setup stage through ongoing operations. The role involves building a strong understanding of safety protocols among team members and caregivers, ensuring that centers meet all required safety parameters, and conducting regular audits, training, and monitoring to sustain a safe environment for children.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Pre-Set and Set-Up Phase
• Build understanding around safety protocols based on organizational guidelines.
• Assess identified center locations against the safety parameters established in the guidelines, and orient team members accordingly.
• Take complete responsibility for modifications and repairs required at centers to meet safety standards.
• Ensure installation of safety gates and fencing at each center before opening.
• Ensure all safety parameters are met at each center and complete audit forms based on the prescribed checklist.
• Organize and ensure fire safety training for caregivers and team members before the start of any creche.
Operational Phase
• Regularly visit centers and evaluate them against defined safety parameters through monthly safety audits.
• Maintain and regularly update records for all centers on house type, available facilities, and status of safety measures as per the checklist and guidelines.
• Conduct regular capacity-building sessions for team members and caregivers on essential safety parameters, including fire safety.
• Hold overall responsibility for safety at creches, coordinating with team members and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Track the expiry dates of fire extinguishers and take timely action for replacement or refilling.
Salary Budget: 30000/-

3. Creche Supervisor
Role Overview
The creche supervisor plays a central role in identifying communities for new creches, setting up centres in coordination with local stakeholders, and overseeing day-to-day operations. The role combines community engagement, child health monitoring, caregiver support, and documentation to ensure that each creche functions effectively and serves the children and families in its catchment area.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Pre-Setup and Setup Phases
• Identify villages for intervention based on ICDS data.
• Visit villages and meet stakeholders—PRI members, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and community members—to understand the village, the community, and the feasibility of a crèche.
• Conduct community meetings, including Gram Sabhas, to introduce the creche concept and assess feasibility; participate in caregiver selection.
• Identify a suitable space and conduct a line listing.
• Involve community members in getting the space ready.
• Coordinate with team members for various forms of support needed.
• Ensure creches are set up with all necessary materials and facilities.
• Attend and participate in caregivers' pre-service training.
Operational Phase
• Enroll and measure children within a week of a crèche opening.
• Handhold and support caregivers, and regularly demonstrate best practices at the creches.
• Mark and enter all necessary information in the application and registers.
• Measure children as per the anthropometric protocol and enter data in the app.
• Use the app for data insights and prepare a weekly plan of interventions.
• Regularly visit children's homes and follow up on health status and attendance regularity.
• Capture creche visit observations and use them for caregiver capacity building and ongoing support.
• Conduct, attend, and facilitate regular meetings, including CMC meetings and Gram Sabhas.
• Attend VHSND sessions regularly and refer children and parents as needed.
• Identify children with severe health conditions or SAM and follow the prescribed referral procedures.
• Ensure regular calibration and upkeep of anthropometric equipment.
• Record and maintain documentation, including attendance registers, child cards, stock registers, cashbooks, and visitors' registers.
