I. Introduction
Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI)?is a resource organization committed to improving the overall quality of life in rural and tribal regions across the Central India belt, spanning the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Established in 2007 as an associate organization of Tata Trusts, CInI has pioneered several scalable and impactful programs across key thematic areas—Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WaSH), Education, Sports, Primary Healthcare & Nutrition. Our initiatives are aligned with the?Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030?and have been recognised on national and international platforms.
CInI anchors its work in community institutions, women’s collectives, and frontline workers. In partnership with CSOs and State Governments, we leverage technology, and robust processes to deliver sustainable, scalable impact—powered by 300+ development professionals across implementation geographies.
II. Key Accountabilities
CInI is directly implementing an integrated livelihood enhancement project in selected clusters and Pombhurna block of Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. To strengthen the agriculture development activities under the project, CInI intends to appoint an “Asst. Manager - Technical (Agriculture)” with specialisation and hands-on experience in agriculture.
• Undertake intensive agriculture development and extension work in the program clusters in coordination and participation of community and community organisations.
• Ensure close technical support to all families involved in Agriculture and Horticulture interventions in the project area/or as assigned to you.
• Ensure required capacity building of CBOs & CBO leaders (VIs, Producer Company-PC).
• Support the team and PC in developing linkages with market players for inputs & outputs, value addition, processing, etc. to ensure fair returns/income to producers.
• Provide close on-the-field technical and handholding support to farmers to ensure optimum production and income.
• Provide technical skills and strategic input to the organisation on various agriculture-based livelihood enhancement activities.
• Undertake other cluster development activities as designed by the project in a comprehensive and integrated approach.
• Provide technical support to the team & partner agencies to enhance the quality of the program activities.
• Liaise and network with agriculture line departments, agriculture universities, tribal development departments, financial institutions like NABARD, banks, and other relevant agencies for leveraging the program and other support inputs for enhancing the planned outputs of activities within CInI; build linkages/alliances with NGOs/rural communities/ universities, etc.
• Ensure regular planning, reporting, and MIS data.
• Any other tasks assigned to you by the Team Leader- Maharashtra.
III. Eligibility and requirements
• Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree in Agriculture
• Experience: 3–4 years of field experience in implementing livelihood (agriculture) development projects, with a special focus on vegetable cultivation. Good training and capacity-building skills for agriculture extension, strong communication and articulation skills, and a hardworking, self-motivated attitude. Experience in working with and managing community institutions will be an added advantage.
Skills, Competencies and Experience:
• Good Communication & documentation skills
• Good working knowledge of Marathi, Hindi, and English.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office.
