About Basera Samajik Sansthan (BSS)

Basera Samajik Sansthan (BSS) is a community-based organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Registration No. 914). Established in 2011, BSS is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting the rights, dignity, and well-being of marginalized communities, particularly LGBTQIA+ individuals and People Living with HIV (PLHIV).

BSS works towards protecting and advancing the rights of transgender persons, advocating for anti-discrimination and hate crime legislation, documenting and addressing gender-based violence, and strengthening HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, and support services.

The organization firmly believes that meaningful engagement of communities most affected by HIV and other co-morbidities in program design, planning, implementation, and monitoring is essential for developing inclusive, effective, and sustainable interventions.

About the Project

The Care and Support Centre 2.0 (CSC 2.0) project is being implemented under Grant Cycle 7 of the Global Fund. Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT) has been designated as the Non-Government Principal Recipient (NGPR) to implement CSC 2.0 across 15 states in India from April 2024 to March 2027.

Under HLFPPT, UPNP Plus has been appointed as the Sub-Recipient (SR) to provide technical and programmatic support to Global Fund-supported CSCs across Uttar Pradesh.

Basera Samajik Sansthan (BSS) has been selected as a Sub-Sub-Recipient (SSR) under UPNP Plus to implement the Care and Support Centre 2.0 project in Ghaziabad District, Uttar Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of CSC 2.0 project activities. Key responsibilities include:

Lead and manage all CSC 2.0 project activities in accordance with project objectives and work plans.
Coordinate with key stakeholders, including SLN, DLN, SACS, DAPCU/DISHA, ART Centres, and other government departments.
Work closely with the M&E cum Finance Officer and Community Liaison for Health (CLH) to ensure efficient project implementation and effective monitoring.
Maintain regular communication with the Sub-Recipient (SR) and Principal Recipient (PR), ensuring timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and other project reports.
Plan, organize, and monitor capacity-building initiatives and oversee weekly work plans.
Conduct regular team meetings, identify implementation gaps, and provide timely solutions.
Strengthen referral mechanisms and establish effective linkages with healthcare providers, especially ART Centres.
Ensure project implementation complies with CSC 2.0 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) guidelines.
Supervise activities related to treatment adherence, social protection schemes, referral services, and community linkages.
Oversee Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities, including timely collection, verification, and entry of field data into the Management Information System (MIS).
Maintain inventory records, stock registers, and project documentation.
Conduct periodic field visits independently or jointly with CLH, SR, and PR representatives.
Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Educational Qualification
Postgraduate with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; or
Graduate with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Essential Skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with diverse communities.
Proficiency in project planning, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder management.
Experience in the healthcare, HIV/AIDS, or development sector will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience
Experience coordinating with ART Centres and other healthcare institutions.
Monitoring outreach activities and providing supportive supervision to field teams.
Liaising with government departments and attending stakeholder meetings.
Working knowledge of NACP guidelines and HIV care and support services.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: 16,000 per month
Travel Allowance: As per organizational policy.
