Role and Responsibilities: Programme Officer

Ø Provide counseling services, as required on various SRH/AIDS related issues which will include marital, premarital, adolescent, infertility, abortion, RTI/STI/HIV, infertility, sexuality counseling.

Ø Refer the counseling cases if need be to appropriate SECRT consultant/ Branch clinic or a suitable agency, hospital or other counseling center.

Ø Provide telephone/correspondence counseling if required

Ø Administer and supervise the SECRT center

Ø Collect data, keep records, write reports and assist in budget preparation for adolescent and HIV/AIDs programmes

Ø Plan, organize, supervise and form part of the team of experts for various programmes, seminars, conferences, workshops and other activities of SECRT Centre.

Ø Plan, implement and evaluate educational programme on SRH for young people in the age group of 10 to 24 years in the formal as well as non-formal sector and marginalized groups.

Ø Develop and strengthen the branch/project youth activities which include developing peer educators, involving them in planning youth activity.

Ø Ensure the programmes are youth- friendly.

Ø Manage and supervise the youth centers.

Ø Advocate the adolescent sexual and RH issues and rights of young people by organizing programmes for young people ,health professionals, teachers, community leaders, religious leaders & GO/NGOs.

Ø Organize training programmes for staff and volunteers, peer educators, teachers and other NGOs if required

Ø Develop training packages on ASRH, communication aids e.g. audio visual aids, literature, pamphlets etc.

Ø Maintain records and submit periodic reports, as requires by HQ and advised by the Branch Manager.

Ø To carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the superiors.

Ø Planning and implementing SECRT and other special project activities like.

· Awareness programmes,

· Educational campaigns,

· Exhibitions, street plays, rallies, sensitization meetings

Educational Qualification:

Post graduate in social work/ Psychology/ Sociology or any equivalent degree

Computer knowledge required

Experience

Minimum 3 years in the field of SRH/ AIDS preferably in counseling.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF MONITORING AND EVALUATION (M&E) OFFICER

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Jabalpur (M.P)

Reporting to: Branch Manager

Purpose of Job: The M&E Officer will provide overall assistance to the Branch Manager and will maintain the information systems, analyze and synthesize the data and assist in preparing reports. The job demands team spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain knowledge management systems (as directed by HQ).

· Support monitoring and evaluation visiting teams.

· Extract data and assist/prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and send it to HQs.

· Keep track of global and national developments in SRH and related issues, highlight these appropriately in various forums and link to ongoing programs.

· Assist the team members in conducting needs analysis within the existing programs.

· Guide and initiate action based research.

· Provide support in organizing staff development programs.

· Coordinate with other units to strengthen the program activities.

· Assist in preparing various documents for promoting Sexual Reproductive Health issues at the branch level.

· Conduct monitoring visits.

· Assist in preparing and pre-testing Information Education Communication/Behaviour Change Communication material based on reviews.

· Participate as team member of monitoring and evaluation teams.

· Assist in preparing work plans and budgets of the branch.

· Provide regular feedback for utilization of data at various levels.

· Any other appropriate responsibilities assigned by the Branch Manager.

The requisite requirements for the M&E Officer is:

Qualifications:

· Post graduate in Social Sciences/Social Work/Demography/Statistics

· Diploma/ Certificate in Computer operating system

Experience:

· Minimum one year with not for profit organisation preferably in research and data analysis

· Use of computer packages such as MS excel and /or SPSS, or any other.

Additional:

· Ability to work as a team

· Written and verbal fluency in both local language and English
