APPOINTMENT OF THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

The S. A. University, Nawada, a newly established progressive institution of higher learning, invites applications and nominations for the position of its first and founder Vice-Chancellor. As the principal academic and executive head of the University, the Vice-Chancellor is expected to exercise general supervision and control over the affairs of the University and give effect to the decisions of all its authorities.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications:

The candidate must be a visionary leader with outstanding academic credentials, proven administrative capabilities, and high integrity. In accordance with the provisions of the University Act/Statutes and UGC Regulations, the candidate must possess:

? A distinguished academic record throughout with a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Professor in a University system, OR

? 10 years of demonstrated academic leadership in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organization.

? High-quality research credentials evidenced by published work in peer-reviewed journals of repute.

Age Limit:
The candidate must not have attained the age of 67 years as on the closing date of application.

Terms of Appointment & Salary:
The terms, conditions of service, tenure, and emoluments attached to the post shall be as prescribed under the First Statutes of the University and will be commensurate with the stature of the position.

Procedure for Appointment:
Appointment will be made by the Competent Authority from a panel of names recommended by a duly constituted Search-cum-Selection Committee. Eminent academicians, administrators, or persons of public repute may also nominate suitable candidates for the position.

No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interaction. Salary shall be paid according to University Rules. The University reserves the right to consider names outside the applications/nominations received, or to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
