Job Description:
The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for :
• Conduct regular field visits in the identified intervention geographies to assess community needs and strengthen project implementation.
• Carry out vulnerability assessments and service mapping within the Intervention Learning Centre (ILC)-cum-Safe Space intervention areas.
• Identify vulnerable locations, hotspots, and communities requiring focused interventions.
• Identify vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth of all genders who require protection, support, and access to services.
• Conduct home visits to assess the needs, risks, and progress of vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth.
• Develop and regularly update stakeholder and service provider mapping to strengthen referral networks.
• Establish and maintain effective networking and coordination with government departments, community stakeholders, civil society organisations, and service providers.
• Facilitate referrals and ensure timely linkage of vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth with appropriate government schemes, protection mechanisms, and essential services.
• Identify vulnerable pockets through Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) exercises and community consultations.
• Facilitate the formation and strengthening of pocket-wise children's and adolescents' groups.
• Plan and facilitate capacity-building sessions and life skills training for children, adolescents, youth, women, and community members.
• Support children's and adolescents' groups in conducting pocket-wise vulnerability assessments and identifying vulnerable individuals requiring intervention.
• Facilitate meaningful participation of children and adolescents in Ward Level Child Protection Committee (WLCPC) meetings, trainings, workshops, and other community platforms to present identified vulnerabilities and recommendations.
• Conduct regular outreach activities, follow-up visits, and home visits to ensure continuous engagement with vulnerable children and families.
• Organise and facilitate community-level awareness and sensitisation programmes on child protection, gender equality, health, education, life skills, and other relevant issues.
• Liaise and coordinate with key stakeholders to address issues related to project implementation and achieve project objectives effectively.
• Mobilise children, adolescents, youth, and women to participate in life skills education, leadership and empowerment programmes, health camps, gender, sex and sexuality education, Champions of Change initiatives, observance of special days, and other project activities.
• Facilitate community participation in preparing and implementing Community Development Plans (CDPs) to address local priorities and vulnerabilities.
• Mobilise youth for skill development programmes, career counselling, spoken English classes, computer literacy programmes, vocational training, entrepreneurship initiatives, and livelihood linkages.
• Mobilise community members for social inclusion camps and create awareness on social security schemes, government entitlements, and welfare services while facilitating access to these benefits.
• Coordinate and manage logistical arrangements for trainings, meetings, workshops, community events, exposure visits, and other project activities.
• Provide technical and operational support to the City Coordinator and undertake additional responsibilities assigned by senior management to ensure effective project implementation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all project activities, including field visit reports, case records, meeting minutes, success stories, training reports, beneficiary databases, photographs, referral records, and MIS updates. Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and donor reports while ensuring proper record keeping, data quality, evidence generation, and compliance with organisational and donor documentation requirements.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
• Graduation in any relevant field, preferable to have knowledge in Gender studies
• Preferable to have candidate with Master degree on Social Work/Sociology /Social Science.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years’ of experience on Child Protection/ Gender inclusion with good facilitating skills and documentation skill
Desired Competencies:
• Fluency Bangla and English and ; knowledge of Hindi will be preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong writing and editing skills in English and Bangla.
Travel Requirement:
The selected candidate will be expected to travel as per organizational requirements.
