Position Summary
SwitchON Foundation is looking for a motivated and field-oriented Project Coordinator to support the implementation of Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) initiatives in the Churchu cluster of Hazaribagh. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager to mobilize farmers, coordinate field activities, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and ensure effective implementation of project interventions at the grassroots level.
The role requires a candidate who is passionate about rural development, comfortable working extensively in field locations, and capable of building strong relationships with farming communities, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), government departments, and other local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Implementation
- Support the Project Manager in planning and implementing Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) activities across the Churchu cluster.
- Ensure timely execution of project activities in line with project objectives and implementation plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate smooth execution of project interventions.
Farmer Mobilization & Community Engagement
- Conduct regular field visits and engage with farmers, village institutions, and community members.
- Mobilize farmers for project participation, capacity-building initiatives, and awareness programs.
- Organize farmer meetings, training sessions, demonstrations, and community outreach activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), government departments, Panchayats, and other local stakeholders at the block level.
- Support collaboration between project partners to ensure effective implementation of project activities.
- Represent SwitchON Foundation professionally during stakeholder meetings and field engagements.
Field Operations & Monitoring
- Facilitate the distribution of seeds, agricultural inputs, and other project materials.
- Monitor field activities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Identify field-level challenges and report them to the Project Manager with appropriate recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and operational standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Collect field data and maintain accurate records of farmer participation, trainings, demonstrations, and project activities.
- Prepare field reports, progress updates, and other project documentation as required.
- Document success stories, photographs, case studies, and best practices from the project cluster.
- Support data collection for monitoring, evaluation, and project reporting.
Awareness & Capacity Building
- Support awareness campaigns promoting climate-smart and regenerative agriculture practices.
- Assist in conducting capacity-building programs for farmers and community groups.
- Encourage adoption of sustainable agricultural practices among project beneficiaries.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager to support successful project implementation.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Education:
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, Environmental Science, or any related discipline.
Experience:
- 0–3 years of experience in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, Community Development, or related sectors.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills.
- Good coordination, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to work extensively in rural areas.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office and digital reporting tools.
Language:
- Proficiency in Hindi is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of English is required.
Other requirements:
- Must own and be able to use a bike or scooty for regular field travel.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Churchu Block and nearby project areas.
- Ability to work independently in rural field conditions.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and community development.
Salary: 15000-30000 depending upon experience & skills
Reimbursements: Travel and other official expenses as per organizational policy.

Travel Requirements
Extensive field travel within Churchu Block, Hazaribagh. Candidate must have a personal bike or scooty for project-related travel.
