It operates as an associate member of WaterAid International and uses the ‘WaterAid’ brand in India. Project Background:
Since 2013, WaterAid has invested significantly across India to improve the lives of marginalized communities by strengthening WASH services. In Bihar targeted interventions have focused on addressing critical gaps in water supply, Gray and Black water Management and service delivery.
The project seeks to:
- The project aims to introduce low-flow faucets in rural water supply schemes to reduce water wastage while ensuring adequate service delivery.
- The project seeks to procure low-flow faucets for installation in Pipe Water Supply Schemes to promote water conservation and improve water-use efficiency.
Objective of the RFQ:
- The selected vendor will be responsible for,
Supply of Low Flow Faucet:
- Supply of 3000 Nos. of 15 mm nominal size low-flow faucets/taps, BIS/ISI marked, suitable for potable water supply, with brass/copper-alloy /PTMT body and corrosion-resistant. The faucet shall be provided with an integrated low-flow aerator/flow regulator capable of limiting the water discharge to a maximum of 4 L/min under the specified operating conditions.
The faucet shall be Supplied in male-threaded / female-threaded inlet configuration, as required to suit the existing site connection. Female-threaded type faucet shall be supplied complete with suitable 15 mm male-male threaded nipple. The faucet shall provide uniform and controlled water flow and shall be leak-proof during operation.
- The faucet shall be suitable for connection with the existing 15 mm water supply plumbing arrangement. The offered product shall be a standard commercially available product and shall be supplied complete with all integral components/accessories required for normal installation.
- Supply of PTFE (Teflon) Thread Seal Tape, 100% virgin PTFE, white colour, 12 mm width × 10 m length per roll, thickness 0.075–0.10 mm, suitable for potable water supply and sealing of threaded pipe/faucet connections, complete as required.
- Safe packing, transportation, unloading, and delivery of the low-flow faucets to the designated Pipe Water Supply Scheme (PWSS) locations as instructed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
