About DC
Development Consortium (DC) is a non-profit organization (registered in India), dedicated to working with young people and vulnerable communities across India - empowering them to overcome health, education and rights, abuse & injustice issues. At the very core of our existence is the belief that a better future for humanity depends on our capacity to harness change. It is the building of this capacity that is at the heart of our working model.

DC firmly believes that influencing behaviour change is critical to the success of an impactful program. Many programs run into cultural traditions and taboos that result in constituents resisting an initiative that might dramatically improve their lives. In many cases, the solution is a matter of sequencing, where opening constituents’ minds to a program’s promise precedes efforts to execute the program itself. At the core of most of our intervention designs is a process to encourage beneficial behaviour change, without taking the paternalistic approach of imposing the change on constituents. These could be a mix of approaches such as engaging constituents directly, by enlisting local, trusted peers to investigate cultural norms and elicit change from within the community; or to impact constituents indirectly, by incentivizing critical collaborators to change their behaviours.

Core Values
  • Belief – We believe in what we do.
  • Resilience – We have the courage and strength to overcome obstacles.
  • Empower – We enable agency and nurture potential.
  • Accountability – We are responsible for our actions.
  • Transparency – We are open and honest.
  • Empathy – We listen, understand and respect.
We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, colour, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic. At DC we value people from diverse backgrounds, working to create an open atmosphere of trust, honesty and respect.

About the Opportunity
Ansh's technology spans an app, built in FlutterFlow, that our field teams use to support the delivery of KMC across 15 district hospitals today, our website, built in Wix, and the accounts and tools that keep our team running day to day. As we scale from one state to several, we need someone who can take direct, hands-on ownership of our app and website, manage the accounts and access that sit alongside them, and bring a technical perspective to how we prioritise what gets built next.

This is a delivery-focused role rather than a purely supervisory one: you will carry out the majority of the day-to-day design, development, and implementation work directly. You will be Ansh's primary technical owner of our app and website, working closely with our Analytics Engineer to ensure data flows cleanly from the app into our dashboards, with the M&E and program teams to understand their requirements, and with the C-suite to ensure our technology and roadmap keep pace with our growth. Our tech team is small, so this role calls for a startup mentality — the initiative to step outside a predefined job description when something needs doing, rather than waiting to be asked.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve our field app
  • Design and implement new features within our FlutterFlow app, from requirements gathering through to build and delivery, translating input from the M&E and operations teams into working functionality.
  • Maintain the app's underlying databases, including making manual data updates where required.
  • Own the full bug and issue-tracking cycle — identifying, prioritising, assigning, and resolving issues that affect app stability, data collection, or care delivery.
  • Manage version control and releases, testing and publishing new app versions, writing release notes, and notifying the team of changes.
  • Manage app accounts and access for team members, providing technical support where needed.
  • Periodically review and improve the app's design, evaluating user interface and user experience to improve usability.
Maintain our website, tech systems and accounts
  • Maintain and update Ansh's website (built in Wix), including content changes, functionality fixes, and periodic design/UX review.
  • Manage and maintain integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Trello, Slack, Google Workspace tools, Firebase), keeping systems efficient, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Manage accounts and access for the tools and platforms our team relies on day to day (e.g. app accounts, website admin access, and other core tools), including onboarding and offboarding team members from a technical standpoint.
  • Conduct orientation on technology & tools for new team members.
  • Maintain basic security hygiene across the systems you own — access permissions, password practices, and account recovery.
  • Ensure backups for FlutterFlow, GitHub, and Firestore are conducted and monitored.
  • Support with ad-hoc technology projects and transitions e.g. changing our Google Workspace.
  • Support with increased AI integration and technology innovation across the organisation.
Follow good technical practice
  • Apply sound engineering practices to keep our dashboards and app reliable and maintainable as they scale, rather than optimising only for short-term delivery.
  • Document your work clearly, so that systems and decisions are understood across the organisation rather than held only by you.
  • Recommend new tools or approaches that would help Ansh's team deliver more effectively.
Work closely with the C-suite and program team
  • Support the C-suite in building the product roadmap for our app and website, bringing a technical perspective on feasibility, sequencing, and trade-offs.
  • Bring a technical perspective into strategic planning conversations, so Ansh's data and tooling keep pace with its growth ambitions.
  • Partner with M&E and program leads to prioritise what gets built next, based on what will most improve data quality, decision-making, or field operations.
Required Qualification and Skills: Essential
  • Around 3+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on work developing mobile or low-code app platforms (FlutterFlow, Flutter, or comparable).
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Claude Code) as part of a modern development workflow, with the discipline to keep the resulting code maintainable rather than simply expedient.
  • Comfortable managing accounts, access, and basic security practices across a small set of tools and platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate requirements from non-technical colleagues into technical specifications, and to explain technical trade-offs back to them clearly.
  • High ownership and agency: comfortable being the primary technical owner of these systems in a rapidly growing organisation, and able to resolve blockers independently.
  • Adaptability: comfortable supporting new technology projects as they arise.
  • Fluent in English; based in India and comfortable working remotely with a distributed, mission-driven team.
  • Deep alignment with Ansh's mission, and a serious, evidence-based commitment to impact.
Strongly preferred / nice to have
  • Direct experience with FlutterFlow specifically.
  • Experience with website builders such as Wix, Webflow, or similar.
  • Experience integrating data from custom-built mobile or field applications into analytics tools.
  • Experience contributing to product prioritisation or roadmap discussions.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security considerations for health data.
  • Fluency in Hindi.
We care more about how fast you can grow into this role than about where you start today. If you meet most of these and the mission speaks to you, please apply.

Reason to Apply:
  • You’ll have real ownership over things that matter.
  • You will join a high impact organisation which is scaling rapidly.
  • A high-leverage, high-autonomy position in a young, ambitious, evidence-driven organisation with room for outsized personal impact as we scale.
  • You'll learn a lot about what it takes to run a health program inside the Indian public system.
  • The core team is small, takes the mission seriously, and is honest about what's going well and what isn't.
  • Your work will save lives. Reliable data and tools are what let Ansh's program team catch problems early and keep care on track.
  • Close work with a C-suite and a team that takes both the impact and its people seriously.
  • Competitive nonprofit compensation, health insurance, and flexibility in how you work.
Remuneration: INR 12,00,000 to 18,00,000 CTC per annum. Joining: Immediate
