Residential Caregiver

Direct Services to Clients
Receive new clients as approved by Shelter Authority at any hour of the day and provide initial care.
Monitor client’s hygiene, self-care, food, clothes and medication compliance and functionality.
Assist in conducting morning energizer session and yoga session of the shelter residents.
Assist shelter residents follow their daily activities.
Check health status of each residents and report issues to concerned person.
Motivate and supervise residents to participate in different shelter works/activities.
Administer client’s physical health care and facilitate public OPD visits as needed.
Provide 24x7x365 emergency response and need-based transfer to hospitals/institutions and ensure regular follow-ups on client’s health status.
Provide support during doctor’s clinic days, Day-Outs with shelter residents, therapy and group sessions, VT sessions, LSP scale administration, client’s restoration.
Provide motivational and supportive interaction to the shelter residence when needed.
Escort clients to places of work.
Provide feedback on client’s status to counselors and doctors and elevate concerns to the Shelter Supervisor.

Providing Support to the Shelter's day to day operation
Supervision of laundry and standard of work of the cleaners.
Disbursement of medicine in a daily basis and keeping a stock of medicines as needed.
Assist in purchase of various items for shelter and draw weekly ration.
Perform kitchen duties as required and assist in supervising preparation and serving of meals.
Supervise distribution of fruits and serving of meals to the shelter residents.
Assist project visits by donors, guests, partners, interns/volunteers, research fellows and others.
Provide support to organize and participate actively in various celebrations/ events in the shelter.

Maintenance of Facility
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the shelter.
Ensure proper storage of food items, clothes, and other articles.
Ensure fire safety protocols being maintained, proper bio-waste disposal policy.
Ensuring proper and safe handling of equipment and furniture of the shelter.

Documentation and Reporting
Maintain and update Daily Observation Sheet of each shelter residents.
Write reports of daily interactions with the individual clients.
Prepare LSP of each shelter residents and maintain a record system for the same.
Update and maintain daily register.
Prepare medicine requisition and disbursement sheets.
Prepare and submit monthly reports.
