JOB TITLE: PROGRAM COORDINATOR
LOCATION: Dharamshala, H.P., India

JAGORI RURAL is seeking a PROGRAM COORDINATOR with a strong commitment to feminist values and relevant experience in women’s organizations, who can bring a programmatic vision to the work in rural, often marginalized communities and to an experienced field team. The role involves preparing work plans, reports, and proposals within deadlines; engaging in advocacy for women’s rights from grassroots to national levels; and strengthening cooperation with state and non-state stakeholders. It also includes fostering solidarity and collaboration within the team and local communities, working closely with local Panchayats and the core team to develop effective implementation and monitoring strategies, and making JAGORI RURAL a visible actor in achieving its vision and mission. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of feminist values and intersectionality, possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, and can mentor field teams for organizational growth. Strong English communication skills are essential, including the capacity to prepare and explain documents and strategies across various settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

EDUCATION: Master’s degree in social sciences, rural development, management or related.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years of senior experience in women’s rights, preferably with rural, marginalized communities and in feminist/women’s organizations
COMPETENCIES: Proven project and staff management experience.
COMMUNICATION: Strong communication, networking, and documentation skills; fluency in Hindi and working knowledge of English (local dialects an advantage).
