Bhartiya Jan Utthan Parishad (BJUP) is a secular, non-political and non-profit making registered voluntary organization. The organization is working on the issue of health, Livelihood, education, child protection, WASH, women empowerment, old age care, watershed development and disability for last 36 years.

Professional/experienced individuals from social sector willing to work for longer period may apply for the position as required. Immediate joiners will be preferred.


Responsibilities:

• Project Coordinator will report to Programme Manager of the project.
• Plan and coordinate community engagement and mobilization activities across assigned project villages in line with project objectives and workplans.
• Conduct community meetings, awareness sessions, household visits, consultations, campaigns, and other participatory activities to ensure active community involvement.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with community members, PRI representatives, schools, frontline workers, government departments, and other local stakeholders.
• Support the formation and strengthening of community-based groups such as youth groups, women’s groups, farmer’s groups, and village-level committees.
• Supervise and guide field staff and volunteers to ensure timely and quality implementation of project activities.
• Identify community needs, vulnerable households, and eligible beneficiaries through field visits, participatory assessments, FGDs, and community consultations.
• Monitor field-level progress, maintain beneficiary and activity records, and prepare timely reports, case studies, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
• Promote community ownership, inclusion, safeguarding, and convergence with relevant government schemes and services to improve the sustainability of project interventions.
Documentation
• Organization and participation in review meetings.
• Elaboration of monthly and terminal as well as project progress reports of the project activities.
• Maintenance of up-to-date records, files, and documentations.
• Consistency in data and information shared - Data accuracy
• Quality of Data analysis and projection
• Understanding and analyzing challenges faced – documenting findings

The Candidates should have:

• A minimum of a master’s degree in Rural Development / Social Work / Development Studies / Social Sciences with not less than five (5) years of experience preferably in community engagement. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
• Possess good communication and presentation skill.
• Working Knowledge of Hindi and English is compulsory.
• Should have good working knowledge on computer skills.
• Should have Good Documentation skills.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to extensive travel in Bihar & Jharkhand.
