About the Project
Lok Astha Sewa Sansthan is implementing the Layika Ghar (Creche) Project for children aged 7 months to 3 years. The project focuses on providing safe, caring and development-oriented support to young children while strengthening support systems for their families and communities.
Position Summary
The MIS Coordinator will be responsible for managing project data generated through the mobile application used by project supervisors. The position will ensure systematic data management, data analysis, data quality, verification, reporting and MIS maintenance to support effective project monitoring and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain project data collected through the mobile application by supervisors.
• Regularly review, organize and analyze project data.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of data.
• Conduct data verification and identify errors, missing information and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with supervisors and project staff for correction and verification of data.
• Prepare MIS reports, data summaries, dashboards and other project-related reports as required.
• Maintain updated MIS records and ensure proper documentation of project data.
• Generate data-based insights to support project monitoring and management decisions.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of project information and data.
• Support the Project/Program Coordinator in data-based monitoring and review meetings.
• Ensure timely submission of MIS reports as per project requirements.
• Perform other MIS and data-related responsibilities assigned by the organization.
Essential Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Management, or a related field.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and data management.
• Experience in handling MIS and analyzing project/program data.
• Ability to work with mobile-based data collection applications.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in MIS, data management, data analysis or monitoring.
• Experience in the NGO/development sector will be preferred.
• Experience with mobile-based data collection systems such as KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare or similar applications will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Data cleaning, validation and analysis.
• Preparation of MIS reports and dashboards.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to identify data discrepancies and resolve them systematically.
• Ability to manage multiple datasets and meet reporting deadlines.
Languages
• Hindi: Fluent in reading, writing and speaking.
• English: Good reading, writing skills.
• Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi/local language will be an advantage.
Salary
35,000 per month
