About BGVS and MSVR Mission Academy:

Birati Globe Vision Society (BGVS) is a grassroots NGO working in the field of education and community development in West Bengal since 2007.

MSVR Mission Academy is an English-medium school run by BGVS. The school follows the ICSE curriculum from Nursery to Class VIII and currently serves around 300 children across its school in rural West Bengal.

We are looking for a committed and caring Headmaster/Headmistress who can work closely with teachers, students, parents and the management to strengthen the quality of education and the overall functioning of the school.

This is an opportunity for someone who believes that every child can learn and grow, irrespective of their social or economic background, and who is willing to work hands-on in a modest NGO environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide academic and day-to-day leadership to the school.
* Support and guide teachers to improve classroom teaching and learning.
* Monitor lesson plans, student attendance, academic progress and school records.
* Supervise teaching and non-teaching staff and provide regular guidance.
* Maintain discipline and create a safe, friendly and positive school environment.
* Encourage sports, arts, crafts, yoga, karate and other activities for students.
* Communicate regularly with parents and address their concerns.
* Manage the daily functioning of the school in coordination with the management.
* Ensure that school rules, policies and applicable educational requirements are followed.
* Prepare simple monthly reports on academic and overall school progress.
* Maintain proper school documentation and records.
* Support admissions and other school activities.
* Help the school build positive relationships with local communities and supporters.
* Represent the school and share its work and achievements with existing and potential partners.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL SET:

* Graduate with D.El.Ed / B.Ed OR A Master's degree
* Around 2-3 years of experience as a Senior Teacher, TIC or in a similar school leadership role
* Good understanding of school administration and academic processes.
* Familiarity with the school curriculum and current education policies, including NEP
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to guide, motivate and work closely with teachers
* Basic knowledge of digital/education teaching technology will be an advantage
* Experience of working in a rural or community-based school will be preferred
