About YouthInvest Foundation
Founded in 2015, YouthInvest Foundation is an Indian not-for-profit organization committed to empowering children, adolescents, and youth—especially from marginalised communities—to live healthy, educated, and productive lives. Using a lifecycle approach, we work across key stages: childhood, adolescence, and youth. Since 2017, we have partnered with civil society, government, and private sector stakeholders to drive sustainable change in health, nutrition, education, gender equality, and skills development across West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Assam—reaching over 1 million children and young people.

Role Summary
The Project Coordinator will lead the ground-level implementation, multi-stakeholder management, and monitoring of the Youth and Adolescent Education Programme. A central focus of this role is the operational leadership of community-based Sambhavna Learning Centres (SLCs), ensuring high-quality delivery of second chance education, digital literacy, and life skills for out-of-school adolescent girls and youth. The Project Coordinator will drive convergence and proactive collaboration with local stakeholders including Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI), Block Administration, Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya (RMV) representatives, and the School Education Department. The role oversees capacity building of educators/staff, field-level data validation, donor reporting, and institutional coordination to ensure sustainable programme outcomes.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities
1. Community-Based SLC Operations & Programme Implementation
• Centre Operations & Functioning: Lead the operational setup, daily functioning, monitoring, and quality review of community-based Sambhavna Learning Centres (SLCs) for out-of-school adolescent girls.
• Action Planning: Formulate location-specific annual action plans and ensure timely execution across intervention villages.
• Learner Retention & Progression: Drive learner mobilization, enrollment, attendance, retention, and learning progress in second-chance education, foundational learning, and digital/livelihood skills.

2. Multi-Stakeholder Management & Administrative Convergence
• PRI & Local Governance: Build and nurture institutional relationships with Panchayati Raj Institutions (Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis) to secure community ownership and support.
• Block Administration: Liaise proactively with Block Development Officers (BDO), education officials, and line department representatives to align with block-level priorities.
• RMV Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya (RMV) representatives and partners to align pedagogical standards and strategic community interventions.
• Institutional Linkages: Collaborate with local government schools, Utkarsh Bangla, PBSSD-approved training institutes.

3. Capacity Building & Training
• Facilitator Coaching: Organize and facilitate ongoing training for Learning Facilitators, Subject Teachers and Data Documentation Facilitator on curriculum delivery, active pedagogy, and documentation.
• Life Skills Workshops: Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) and interactive workshops on 'Essential Skills for Life' (self-awareness, critical thinking, creativity, resilience, decision-making, and leadership) for project staff and adolescent/youth leaders.
• Module Development: Adapt and refine localized training modules on Essential Skills for Life, Career Preparedness, Foundational Learning, and Bridge Courses.

4. Community Mobilization & Special Events
• Observance of Key Days: Supervise community campaigns and observances of special days (National Youth Day, International Literacy Day, National Girl Child Day) in collaboration with PRIs, RMV representatives, and youth clubs.
• Advocacy & Sensitization: Host targeted community dialogues on adolescent wellbeing, gender equity, digital empowerment, and second-chance education.

5. Monitoring, Data Management & Reporting
• Field Monitoring: Conduct frequent field supervisory visits to monitor SLC quality, observe classroom sessions, and address operational bottlenecks.
• MIS & Data Verification: Ensure rigorous qualitative and quantitative data entry, validate field records, and carry out periodic progress analysis.
• Donor & Stakeholder Reports: Prepare comprehensive monthly progress reports, thematic write-ups, case studies, and impact stories for donor communication.
• Asset Management: Ensure accountable maintenance and optimal utilization of centre digital infrastructure and learning materials.
