Gramin Sulabh Vikas Kendra (GSVK) is a registered non-governmental organisation working for rural and community development in Jharkhand. Registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, GSVK is based in Village Karanji, Bero, Ranchi, Jharkhand. The organisation works with rural communities with a focus on agriculture, livelihoods, community development, farmer capacity building and related development initiatives.

GSVK invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions under the Krishak Pathshala Project. The project focuses on strengthening farmers through practical training, agricultural demonstrations, integrated farming, improved production practices, farmer mobilisation, FPO development, market linkages and sustainable rural livelihoods.

Programme Manager – 1 Position

Qualification: MBA / B.Sc. Agriculture or Agriculture & Allied Sciences
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

The Programme Manager will be responsible for overall planning, coordination and implementation of the project. The position will involve team management, field supervision, coordination with farmers and stakeholders, monitoring project activities, maintaining documentation and preparing periodic reports. Experience in agriculture, rural development, farmer mobilisation or development projects will be preferred.

Agriculture Consultant – 1 Position

Qualification: B.Sc. Agriculture
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

The Agriculture Consultant will provide technical support for crop planning, agricultural demonstrations, farmer training and field-level advisory services. The position will support adoption of improved farming practices, integrated farming systems and sustainable agricultural techniques.

Veterinary Consultant – 1 Position

Qualification: Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

The Veterinary Consultant will provide technical guidance on livestock, dairy, poultry, goatery and piggery activities. Responsibilities will include animal health, preventive care, farmer guidance, field monitoring and support for livestock-based livelihood activities.

Agriculture Marketing Consultant – 1 Position

Qualification: B.Sc. Agriculture / MBA in Agribusiness
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

The consultant will support FPO formation and strengthening, farmer aggregation, value addition, market identification and market linkages. The position will also support development of backward and forward linkages, collective marketing and improved returns for farmers.

Accountant – 1 Position

Qualification: B.Com
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred: Tally and GST knowledge

The Accountant will maintain project accounts, books of accounts, vouchers, bills, financial records and bank reconciliation. The position will also support financial reporting, documentation, audit requirements and compliance-related activities.

Birsa Village Coordinator – 4 Positions

Qualification: B.Sc. / B.Sc. Agriculture / Agriculture & Allied Sciences
Experience: Freshers may apply

Birsa Village Coordinators will work at the village level and support farmer mobilisation, field activities, training programmes, demonstrations, data collection and project documentation. They will coordinate regularly with farmers, community members, FPOs and the project team.

Common Requirements

Candidates should have good communication skills, willingness to work in rural and field environments, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary project team. Experience in agriculture, rural development, farmer mobilisation, livelihoods, FPOs, government programmes or the development sector will be an advantage.

Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience.
