Position: Zone Coordinator (Female) – Self Help Groups (SHGs)

We invite applications from motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic female candidates for the position of Zone Coordinator – Self Help Groups (SHGs) to support and strengthen our women empowerment and livelihood initiatives across rural communities in District Sangrur, Punjab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise Self Help Groups (SHGs) across assigned villages.
- Mobilise and encourage rural women to become members of SHGs.
- Facilitate regular SHG meetings, savings and financial activities.
- Support women in developing small businesses and income-generating activities.
- Coordinate training programmes, skill development and capacity-building initiatives.
- Facilitate bank linkages, financial inclusion and access to government schemes.
- Develop market linkages for SHG products and services.
- Monitor group activities, maintain records and submit periodic progress reports.
- Build strong relationships with community members and local stakeholders.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Graduate or Senior Secondary in any discipline (preference for Social Work, Rural Development or related fields).
- Experience in NGO activities, SHG formation, community mobilisation or rural development will be preferred.
- Good communication, coordination and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across villages in District Sangrur.
- Proficiency in Punjabi and basic computer knowledge.
- Should be self-motivated, organised and passionate about women's empowerment.
Job Location: Sangrur, Punjab
Salary: Rs.13,000/- per month
Conveyance: A scooty will be provided for official field visits.
