About the Project

Vatsalya is implementing a community-based adult literacy initiative aimed at improving basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills among adults in rural communities. The project focuses on strengthening functional literacy and lifelong learning opportunities, particularly for individuals who did not have access to formal education.The project will focus on:

• Promoting adult literacy and basic education in rural communities
• Conducting community-based learning sessions for adult learners
• Encouraging participation of women and marginalized groups in literacy programs
• Community mobilization to support adult education initiatives
• Monitoring learning progress and strengthening community engagement

To implement the project, Vatsalya invites applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the following positions.

Available Positions
1. Resource Coordinator – 1 Position
Salary: As per experience and field norms

Key Responsibilities:
• Overall coordination and management of project activities
• Planning and monitoring implementation across project locations
• Coordination with field staff and volunteers
• Ensuring documentation, reporting and monitoring of progress
• Supporting training and capacity building of volunteers

Qualification & Experience:
• Graduate / Postgraduate
• BSW / MSW / B.Ed / MBA preferred
• Minimum 2–6 years of relevant experience in development sector or project coordination

2. Field Supervisors – 2 Positions
Salary: ?15,000 per month

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise field-level implementation of literacy activities
• Guide and support Janshikshaks conducting adult learning sessions
• Monitor quality of literacy programs in communities
• Maintain field reports and documentation
• Support coordination between field team and project management

Qualification & Experience:
• Graduate / Postgraduate (BSW / MSW preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in field work or community development

3. Data Entry Operator – 1 Position
Salary: ?15,000 per month

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain project databases and learner records
• Compile and update field data and reports
• Support MIS documentation and data management
• Assist in monitoring and reporting of project activities

Qualification & Experience:
• Graduate with Diploma in Computer Applications / Data Analysis
• 0–2 years of experience in data entry or data management

4. Accountant (Part Time) – 1 Position
Salary: ?7,000 per month

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain financial records and documentation
• Support project accounting and bookkeeping
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Maintain vouchers and expenditure records

Qualification & Experience:
• Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com preferred)
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial documentation

5. Janshikshak (Volunteers) – 23 Positions
Salary: ?7,000 per month

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct adult literacy classes in community settings
• Support basic reading, writing and numeracy learning sessions
• Maintain learner attendance and progress records
• Mobilize community members to participate in literacy programs

Qualification & Experience:
• Minimum 12th pass (Graduates preferred)
• Teachers and individuals with basic computer or mobile knowledge will be preferred
• Interest in community education and social development

? Preference: Candidates residing in the same or nearby villages will be preferred to ensure strong community engagement.

Travel & Other Benefits
• Travel expenses will be reimbursed as per actuals according to project requirements.
