We work with rural government schools, urban schools, universities, and youth to build an education rooted in social justice, empathy, dialogue, and action.

Overview to TIDE (Together In Development & Education) Foundation
TIDE is an educational reform organization founded in November 2014 that aims at bringing about sustainable change in the educational system. As of December 2025, we have impacted the lives of 50,250+ individuals. We have multiple programs that work with different aspects of education. All the programs act independently while following a similar guideline i.e., working on high-impact projects with the aim of creating a system that resolves the root cause in a span of 15 years.

Job Overview
We are looking for a Program Manager who will help lead and expand our Education for Social Justice initiatives.
You will work across multiple programs that engage students, teachers, and universities in reflecting on social issues and taking meaningful action within their communities.
This is not simply a coordination role. You will play a key role in shaping programs, building partnerships, training educators, and strengthening our organizational systems.
Our key interventions include:
1. SDG awareness workshops in under-resourced schools- activity based workshop that build awareness of various socio, economic, cultural, and environmental challenges.
2. Disha camps in under-resourced schools- aligning with bagless days we have developed and implemented programs to engage students in resolving challenges at their schools and in their neighbourhoods.
3. Model city council- a dialogic forum where students discuss real civic issues affecting our cities and ideate potential solutions.
4. Social changemaker fellowship- 6 month long interventions where students deeply understand civic issues, develop empathy through immersion, and mobilize others to take action around social issues in and around one’s neighbourhood.

Job Description
We are seeking a long-term staff member that commits to at least 2 years and ideally stays on for much longer. Their primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

1. Lead and Strengthen Education for Social Justice Programs
• Coordinate the implementation and growth of Disha camps and SDG workshops in rural schools
• Support and strengthen Model City Council and Social Changemaker programs
• Support field associates, students, and interns implementing programs in schools
• Continuously refine program design based on field learning and feedback
2. Build Partnerships with Schools, Universities, and NGOs
• Develop collaborations with schools, universities, NGOs, and government partners
• Create outreach materials, presentations, and partnership toolkits
• Support institutions interested in adopting our programs
3. Train and Mentor Educators and Youth Leaders
• Facilitate training workshops for teachers, NGOs, and partner organizations
• Train university students (B.Ed., MSW, BRS) to implement programs
4. Build Systems and Strengthen the Organization
• Build a strong volunteer ecosystem around the programs
• Support documentation and knowledge building from program implementation
• Maintain systems for volunteer coordination, certification, and program monitoring
• Contribute to organizational learning, strategy, and growth
• Support PR where required

Who This Role Is For
The candidate must be based in Ahmedabad or be willing to relocate.

Required Skills:
? Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
? Proficiency in English and either Gujarati or Hindi
? Ability to work with diverse stakeholders: teachers, students, NGOs, volunteers
? Experience working with children
? Strong organizational and project management abilities
? Comfort with documentation and coordination
? Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
? Growth centric mindset.
? Readiness to travel for school visits and field engagement

Desired Skills:
? Experience facilitating workshops or training sessions for educators
? Interest in education research, policy, or curriculum
? Familiarity with experiential learning approaches
? Experience with social media and public relations.
? Interest in educational research and policies.

The candidate must have the following qualifications:
? Minimum 3-5 years of experience in education, youth development, or nonprofit work
? A bachelor’s degree (ideally a post-graduate degree else added work experience beyond the 5 years mentioned above)

Organizational support
President of TIDE Foundation, Dr Jwalin Patel will provide the necessary assistance and timely guidance continued throughout the tenure to ensure optimum learning and performance in the role. You will work in a small but mission-driven team with significant autonomy and responsibility. You will be a permanent staff with the authority and liberty to shape programs and processes. We aim to provide a monthly remuneration of between INR 35,000 to 40,000.
