The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Policy & Gender Equality Policy.

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB
To ensure implementation of “Quality Education Initiatives” in Senior Secondary Government schools of Ramgarh Shekhawat. Project Officer will be the focal point person to ensure quality and optimum delivery of project. The project Officer will play a key role to in planning, monitoring & implementation of the project. She/he will have to work in close coordination with other departments of Plan India for ensuring smooth functioning with mandatory complinaces to Plan India policies and processes.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
• To ensure effective and timely delivery of the project components – school infrastructure, career guidance and other committed interventions
• Prepare detailed plan and organize career guidance sessions of students of grade 10th and 12th and support in developing locally relevant pathways
• Coordinate with technical agency for aptitude assessment of children.
• Conduct a detailed WASH survey; Monitor and supervise all construction activities in the schools for quality in coordination with SMC and HM
• To explore multiple vendors and assist finance and administration personnel to initiate, monitor, supervise and ensure completion of project-based infrastructure support including construction/repair of new/old building/Tin Shed etc. for optimum utilization in a quality manner.
• Time to time home visit & organizing community meeting at community level
• To develop project implementation plan, monitoring & review mechanism in consultation with line manager
• To upload approved project into organizational SAP system and seek necessary approvals time to time followed by project modification and submitting progress report at regular intervals.
• Conduct needs assessment and facilitate workshops for building capacity of relevant stakeholders as per project design
• Develop IEC, manuals and project guidelines for stakeholders and project team as necessary.
• Coordinate and facilitate donor visits/visits of other stake holders within and outside Plan India to Project Areas.
• Prepare and submit regular progress updates for Plan management and donor
• Ensure effective “Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy” compliance during the Programme implementation
• Ensure statutory and audit requirements are adhered properly.
• Ensure timely procurement of goods and services as per project design and regular monitoring of their functionality and maintenance
• To maintain and update gender marker report of Model School project as part of M&E framework.
• Other any work as per requirement of project and guidance of line manager
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Education, or related field
• 4–6years of experience in education/community development projects.
• Prior experience in conducting life skills/SEL sessions preferred.
• Experience working with adolescent girls in rural or semi-urban settings.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation and MS Office skills.
