Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic candidates for the position of Assistant Project Engineer under the Mentoring in Schools for ATL Labs project. The role involves supporting the implementation, monitoring, and mentoring activities in schools equipped with Atal Tinkering Labs, with a focus on fostering innovation and hands-on STEM learning among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and coordination of ATL activities across assigned schools
- Provide technical and mentoring support to students and school staff
- Facilitate hands-on learning sessions in areas such as robotics, electronics, and innovation
- Support training workshops, events, and project-based learning initiatives
- Monitor lab usage, maintain equipment, and ensure smooth functioning of ATL labs
- Prepare periodic reports and documentation related to project activities
- Travel to assigned schools as per project requirements
Key Skills:
Qualification: B.Tech or Polytechnic Diploma in a relevant field (Engineering/Technology)
Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred, freshers are also encouraged to apply
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of electronics, robotics, IoT, or STEM tools
- Familiarity with ATL equipment such as sensors, microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino), and basic programming is desirable
- Ability to handle troubleshooting and maintenance of lab equipment
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and/or English
- Ability to effectively interact with students, teachers, and stakeholders
- Strong mentoring and facilitation skills
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned districts
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, reporting, documentation)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach
- Interest in innovation, experiential learning, and working in the education sector
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience in school-based projects, ATL labs, or similar initiatives
- Exposure to training, workshops, or community engagement programs
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and working with young learners
Salary & Benefits: Rs.20,000 per month, along with reimbursement of travel expenses.
