Project Brief:
The project involves operationalizing one Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) in Aurangabad district of Bihar. The MMU team comprises a Medical Officer/Doctor. The MMU delivers Out Patient Department (OPD) services including free medicines. The project also involves community mobilization, organizing thematic health camps, awareness camp, organizing community meetings, advocacy meetings, creating linkages with government and private healthcare facilities for higher level care, monitoring and evaluation. The MMU- OPDs operates on ground for 25 days in amonth.

The Position:
The Lady Medical Officer (Doctor) is responsible for the effective delivery of healthcare services and supervision of clinical activities under the MMU project. The Doctor holds an MBBS degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2–3 years of experience in public health programs or clinical practice, preferably in outreach/mobile health services.
She possesses the ability to manage OPD services, diagnose and treat patients, prescribe medications, and ensure adherence to standard treatment protocols. The Doctor is also responsible for maintaining patient records, reporting, and supporting health awareness activities during field visits.
demonstrates strong coordination skills to work with the MMU team, ensuring smooth implementation of services and timely completion of daily targets. Good communication skills in local language and basic English, along with analytical skills for reporting and documentation, are essential.
The Doctor will report to the Project Coordinator/Head TSD. The MMU OPDs operate on the ground for 25 days in a month, and the Doctor is expected to ensure regular and efficient service delivery during this period.
Candidate Profile: Medical Officer should have a professional degree (MBBS), registered with Medical Council of India, with a minimum of 03 years of experience.

- Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate development of route plan for theMMU
- Provide preventive, promotive and curative health care and referral services to patients during MMU-OPDs and thematic healthcamps
- Document and maintain health records of patients as per projectrequirement
- Utilize, supervise and manage stock of medicines, healthcare products and reagents forregular MMU services and thematic healthcamps
- Supervise safe disposal of biomedicalwastes
- Liaise and interact with other medical, non-medical staff, govt. health department officials and community members and create and maintain positive image of the organization and donor for the servicesdelivered
- Network with other medical professionals/ specialists in and around Saharapur and Munger and solicit their support as and when needarises
- Encourage health literacy amongst the targetaudience
- Supervise functions and quality of services of the MMU technicalteam
- Provide regular need-based technical training to MMUteam
Candidate Profile: Medical Officer should has a professional degree (MBBS), registered with Medical Council of India, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience (or a retired active MBBS doctor) with strong public health care skills.
