ABOUT THE PROJECT :
Under the Model School Project in Ramgarh, two fully functional computer labs have been established across two government schools. These labs are equipped with necessary hardware and supported by trained computer teachers. The project aims to ensure that students from Classes 6th to 12th receive structured, curriculum based computer education integrated within the school timetable. The initiative focuses not only on foundational digital literacy but also aims to progressively expose students to advanced computer knowledge including emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, digital tools, and future-ready skills. The Head Computer Teacher will play a critical role in ensuring quality, uniformity, and scalability of computer education across both schools, while working closely with school administration and project teams.
JOB / ROLE OVERVIEW :
The Head Computer Teacher will be responsible for leading and delivering computer education across two government schools in Ramgarh. The role involves direct classroom teaching, academic planning, monitoring of teaching quality, and overall management of both computer labs. The position holder will ensure standardization of curriculum delivery, assessments, and student learning outcomes across both schools, while also guiding the second computer teacher.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Classroom Teaching & Learning Delivery (30%):
• Conduct computer classes for students from Classes 6th to 12th as per the defined curriculum.
• Ensure integration of practical and theoretical learning through hands-on lab sessions.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and skill-based sessions aligned with students’ learning levels.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
2. Academic Planning & Curriculum Implementation (20%):
• Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly lesson plans for computer classes across both schools.
• Ensure adherence to the prescribed curriculum and timely completion of syllabus.
• Continuously upgrade curriculum to include advanced topics such as:
o Basic coding
o Digital literacy tools
o Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies
• Align lesson plans with school academic calendars and timetables.
3. Assessment & Student Progress Tracking (15%):
• Design and conduct regular assessments (weekly/monthly/quarterly).
• Maintain individual student assessment records and learning profiles.
• Ensure the same assessment structure and standards are followed in both schools.
• Analyse student performance and provide remedial support where required.
• Share monthly performance reports with the Project Lead.
4. Supervision & Lab Management (15%):
• Oversee the functioning of two computer labs across both schools.
• Supervise and guide the second computer teacher to ensure quality and consistency.
• Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and safety of lab equipment.
• Maintain inventory and report any technical issues or requirements.
• Ensure optimal utilization of lab resources.
5. Standardization & Quality Assurance (10%):
• Ensure uniformity in teaching methods, curriculum delivery, and assessments across both schools.
• Conduct periodic reviews of teaching practices and student outcomes.
• Mentor and support the second teacher for continuous improvement.
• Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and digital tools.
6. Stakeholder Coordination (5%):
• Work closely with school principals, teachers, and administration to integrate computer classes within school schedules.
• Participate in school meetings and share updates on student progress.
• Support project team during monitoring visits and reviews.
7. Documentation, Reporting & Compliance (5%):
• Maintain accurate records of:
o Attendance
o Lesson plans
o Assessments
o Lab usage
• Submit regular reports to the Project Lead.
• Ensure compliance with child protection and safeguarding policies.
DELIVERABLES / EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
• Structured and standardized computer education across both schools.
• Improved digital literacy and technical skills among students (Classes 6–12).
• Consistent assessment and tracking system for all students.
• Efficiently managed and fully functional computer labs.
• Gradual introduction of advanced digital and emerging technology concepts (e.g., AI) as student capacity improves.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in computer education.
• Experience working in schools or education projects preferred.
• Familiarity with curriculum planning and student assessments.
• Basic knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, coding, digital tools) preferred.
• Fluency in Hindi (mandatory); working knowledge of English preferred.
Candidates from Rajasthan or those familiar with the Shekhawati region will be an added advantage.
