Position: Communications Manager
Programme: Dettol Banega Swasth India (Rajasthan)

About the Programme:
Dettol Banega Swasth India (BSI) is India’s largest, and longest-running public health campaign focused on hygiene, health, and cleanliness, aimed at creating a healthier nation. The programme works with schools, communities, and institutional partners across India to educate children and instill right hygiene and sanitation practices in their formative years for improved health outcomes and reducing preventable disease.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to execute integrated strategic communications for Dettol Banega Swasth India.
This role will be responsible for driving communications across traditional media, public relations, digital platforms, social media, and programme-led events. The candidate will help craft and deliver messaging that strengthens the campaign, amplify the hygiene and sanitation messages, reinforces brand love and trust, upholds the brand’s legacy and values, and positions Dettol as a purpose-led powerbrand.
The ideal candidate should bring both strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities to translate strategy into action with local integration, along with proven experience in managing communications for large-scale public awareness campaigns. Experience in driving behaviour change communication with Gen Z and Gen Alpha will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications Planning :
• Execute the annual communications calendar aligned with the programme milestones as defined by Reckitt leadership
• Coordinate with Reckitt to ensure consistent messaging across activities.
• Engage and work closely with media partners for seamless execution of partnership campaigns
Media Relations and Public Relations
• Draft press releases, media briefs, and leadership articles
• Build relationships with Tier A regional media covering health and social impact.
• Identify opportunities to position leadership in media conversations around hygiene and public health.
Digital and Social Media ;
• Coordinate with agencies to develop social media content including short videos and campaign posts.
• Track analytics and improve digital engagement.
Campaigns and Events :
• Support communication planning for tentpole events, launches, and campaign milestones
• Ensure strong media and digital visibility for programme activities.
• Track overall analytics of the campaign communications, as per Reckitt reporting guidelines, and ensure meeting yearly-set targets
Content and Storytelling :
• Develop stories highlighting community impact, beneficiary journeys, and programme outcomes in the interventional state.
• Produce written and visual content including monthly newsletters, digital and social media assets, collaterals designing for tentpole events, ensuring adherence to the design language cascaded from Reckitt leadership
Creative Asset Development:
• Coordinate monthly photography and video documentation of programme activities.
• Maintain a repository of communication assets for programme use.
Collaboration :
• Work closely with programme teams, comms agency, and Reckitt and MAMTA leadership to align communication activities.
Skills and Experience :
Professional Experience :
• 7–8 years of experience in communications, public relations, or campaign communications.
• Demonstrated experience executing integrated communication campaigns across media relations, social media, digital platforms, and events.
• Experience in managing communications for large-scale public awareness campaigns
• Experience in driving behaviour change communication with Gen Z and Gen Alpha
