About the Project:

The Union is rolling out population wide TB Screening in the urban geography of Delhi using handheld X-ray machines and newer tools, thereby ensuring that TB cases are identified and treated as soon as possible and preventing the spread of the disease to other individuals

The project activity will employ highly sensitive screening tests such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled ultra-portable handheld X-rays.

Please note that this position is contingent upon The Union securing an anticipated grant.

3. SCOPE OF WORK

The Consultant, Radiographer has to operate an ultraportable handheld X-ray machine fitted with Computer Assisted Diagnostics (CAD) software and Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACs). The project will be screening vulnerable population using these X-ray machines in a mix of community camps and primary health facilities. While the machines are relatively new and complete expertise is not a prerequisite since training shall be conducted for the same, the ideal candidate is expected to be well-versed with X-ray equipment operability and should possess excellent demonstrated patient handling ability. They should be able to function independently, be self-motivated, can thrive in challenging environments, willing to travel, and have a strong commitment to excellence.

• Handling of the ultraportable X-ray machine unit. The unit including generator, detector, CAD software, lead aprons, frames etc will be transported in a compact bag to and from camp locations to its stationing facility. Maintenance, transportation, and safekeeping of the X ray unit will be the responsibility of the radiographer.
• Maintaining TLD badges including coordinating to ensure TLD badges are sent for renewal in each quarter with the agency
• Handling queries from patients and offering pre-procedure guidance
• Using radiographic equipment, including surgical and portable equipment, to do x-rays, and labelling them appropriately.
• Monitoring the radiographic equipment and supplies and ensuring there are sufficient supplies by submitting purchase requests proactively
• Maintaining stock register for the camp.
• Ensuring the maintenance of X-ray machines and other related equipment. Coordinating with relevant stakeholders for AMC and any corrective/ preventive maintenance required
• Documenting, recording, and storage of patient data. This includes filling up deployment forms at the beginning of the camp services for each camp location, ensure filling in complete information of clients on Qure AI
• Performing end of day tasks and reporting
• Holding all patient Protected Health Information (PHI), other patients’ personal information and agency information in confidence, in accordance with the Employee Confidentiality Statement.
• Support project team in organizing camps at project site and mobilizing communities for X-ray screening.
• Any other work assigned by the Supervisor/ Project Lead/ Project Team/Head of Office.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications and Experience:
• Graduate with diploma in X-Ray technician from Government authorized college/university.
• 1 to 3 years of experience
• Experience in managing portable/ X-ray machines is desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office with a strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with National health programs/ community settings will be advantageous.
• Willing to travel extensively in the field.

Compensation offered:
