Job title: Field Facilitator (Consultant)

Position Summary: The GEMS (Gender Equality Movement in Schools) Project, implemented by ICRW in Jharkhand, aims to promote gender equality, life skills, and a safe and inclusive learning environment for students in schools. We are looking for Field Facilitator (Consultant) who will support effective implementation of the project at the block and school levels through coordination with government officials and school authorities.
Scope of Work for Field Facilitators
- Coordination with concerned block-level government officials for effective implementation of the project
- Getting permission from the principals of selected schools to conduct the sessions in the school.
- Conducting meetings with teachers, principals, Bal sansad, and SMC members of the selected schools.
- Regular monitoring and evaluation of school sessions and campaigns. The Field Facilitator is expected to visit at least 15 schools in a month.
- Ensure that monitoring forms are filled and submitted in a timely manner.
- Participation and facilitation support during the training of teachers
- Support GEMS project team in research activities
- Work closely with the research team on data management and presentation for block and district level review meetings.
- Share block progress reports with team on regular
- Ensure overall quality of implementation.
- Any other tasks as per the requirement of the project or directed by Project Lead/ ICRW project team.
- Conducting a session with primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary classes (Grade 4-12).
Education Criteria and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or bachelor’s in education (B.ED)
- Proficiency in Hindi and English.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office, data entry, and mobile applications.
- Fluency in local languages of Jharkhand.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in field-level community engagement, data collection, or program implementation.
- Experience in projects related to health, education, gender, or social development.
- Background in education, social work, or related fields.
- Experience in school activities, training sessions, or community-based programs.
- Understanding of child safety: basic knowledge of Child Protection and the POCSO Act.
- Awareness of gender equality, inclusion, and gender-based violence (GBV).
Additional Requirement:
Candidate must own a two-wheeler and possess all necessary documents.
Consultancy Fees / Consultancy:
The consultancy fees will be based on years of experience and skills.
Local Travel Reimbursement:
As per the project travel guidelines.
