Brief Job Description:
1. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Monitor the preparation of BRS, liaising with banks, financial institutions, etc. in managing the funds.
3. Supervise Payroll processing-wage, salary administrations, deduction and timely remittance of TDS, ESI, PF, profession tax, etc.
4. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, utilization certificates, etc., and report variances, as required by management, for both FCRA and non-FCRA donors.
5. Ensuring periodical month-end and year-end closure processes & preparing and reporting the financial statements. In a timely manner (monthly, HY/quarterly, etc.,) for both FCRA and non-FCRA donors.
6. Systematic monitoring & submission of programmatic and financial reporting requirements as per grant letters/agreements/MOUs.
7. Monitor compliance with applicable terms and conditions, laws, and regulations related to the company and maintain all necessary documentation of compliance activities with local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax filings (IT/GST/PF, etc.).
8. Prepare a cash flow/treasury report in coordination with thematic leads & ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs. Also ensuring the placement of surplus funds in FDs in banks.
9. Train the finance & other staff members on raising awareness and knowledge of organizational policy/SOPs for smooth execution of programs.
10. Work with the CFO on the strategic vision, including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships with state government administration/statutory authorities, bankers, and contractors.
11. Participate in developing new proposals/budgets/pricing decisions, in coordination with program leads under the guidance of the CFO. Also assisting in drafting of agreements/MoUs/contracts, etc., with Donors, Contractors, Service providers, etc.,
12. Participate in negotiation with parties & ensure adequate controls are installed & that procurements are approved and available such that all purchases may pass the donor's and statutory authorities' audits.
13. Preparation and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization, including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, and development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.
14. Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with the accounting standards and other required supplementary schedules.
15. Working knowledge of FCRA Accounting and compliance requirements:-
• Passing accounting entries relating to receipt of FCRA grants and utilisation of funds
• Accounting of staff reimbursements/claims, vendor advances, procurement of assets, services, and works funded through FCRA grants
• Ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with FCRA guidelines and project-wise grant requirements
• Assisting in preparation of FCRA utilization statements and supporting schedules for audit/reporting purposes.
Experience: 5-Year
Qualification: CA/CMA-Final
