Parmarth Samaj Sevi Sansthan is a grass root organization dedicated to water crisis mitigation in water stressed Bundelkhand region of UP & MP since 1996 with an aim to bring qualitative improvement and changes in lives of the vulnerable people. Parmarth’s strength is its strong community connect and its commitment for the betterment of downtrodden society. Parmarth works with various stakeholders; institutions, corporate entities, the government, local communities, and individuals to provide timely interventions in water conservation, environment protection, village development, sustainable agriculture, river rejuvenation, sanitation & waste management, women empowerment, education, and skill development.
About the Project
The Targeted Intervention (TI) Project is implemented under the guidance of the Uttar Pradesh State AIDS Control Society, with the objective of preventing and controlling HIV transmission among high-risk and vulnerable populations through targeted outreach, service delivery, and community mobilization.
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for overall planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of the TI project at the field level, ensuring adherence to UPSACS/NACO guidelines, quality service delivery, and achievement of project targets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Program Management
• Plan, implement, and monitor all project activities as per TI guidelines
• Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
• Develop micro-plans and review progress regularly
Team Management & Capacity Building
• Supervise Outreach Workers, Peer Educators, Counsellors, and other staff
• Conduct regular review meetings and field visits
• Build capacity of team members through on-the-job training
Service Delivery & Quality Assurance
• Ensure effective implementation of:
o Behaviour Change Communication (BCC)
o Condom promotion and distribution
o STI/RTI identification and referral
o HIV testing and ART linkage
• Maintain quality and standardization of services
Coordination & Networking
• Liaise with UPSACS officials, ICTC/ART centres, District Health Authorities
• Coordinate with community-based organizations and stakeholders
• Strengthen referral linkages and service access
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
• Ensure timely submission of reports (monthly/quarterly/annual)
• Maintain data quality, records, and documentation
• Monitor MIS and field-level data collection
Community Mobilization
• Support formation and strengthening of CBOs
• Facilitate community participation and ownership
• Address stigma, discrimination, and crisis situations
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) / Sociology / Public Health / Development Studies or equivalent
Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in health or development sector
• Prior experience in HIV/AIDS / Targeted Intervention projects will be highly preferred
• Experience in team management and working with government systems
Required Skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of HIV/AIDS issues and public health systems
• Ability to handle field operations and reporting
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic MIS systems
Remuneration
• As per UPSACS/NACO norms (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
