Position Role
|
|
The Officer, MEL will be responsible for working with the Program Specialist and field implementation teams (direct implementation, grants and partners) for monitoring and evaluation, facilitating learning platforms, generating MIS of field information. They will be responsible for institutionalizing knowledge and organizational learning based on the critical information collected from the programs including grants. They will also be responsible for enhancing impact through regular monitoring of programs ensuring quality control and evaluation, thus improving internal processes that results delivery in the field.
The Officer, MEL will actively collaborate with the team based in different field offices, project offices and local partners in Rajasthan to amplify program quality, impact and communication.
Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with ChildFund’s Safeguarding Policy.

Primary Responsibilities
|
- Collaborate with program implementation teams to develop Annual Project Plans, Budgets and monitor the execution and outcomes.
- Build capacity of program/field staff to develop instruments and design periodic (baseline, midline and end line) surveys and provide on-going support to field teams/programs as needed.
- Plan and oversee internal/ external evaluations, reviews and impact assessments of the assigned projects including grants and other sources of funding.
- Developing and managing M & E database and management dashboards.
- Compiling quarterly, annual and other periodic reports based on the information collected from the field.
- Managing, tracking and reporting of Detailed Implementation Plans of the project and grants.
- Sharing updates at different levels and developing feedback loops, and,
- Conducting data audits for confirming quality of reported information.
- Develop, adapt and pilot innovative tools (including use of Information technology) in M&E for measurement and reporting of progress for the projects/programs.
- Design solutions to improve information access, data sharing and facilitate knowledge generation and cross-learning.
- Support the Business Development and Communication team by providing program insights through Data and Learning Documents collected from the field as required.
- Conduct periodic assessment and analyze reports provided by the field teams and prepare project level reports - Track the plan verses progress and provide feedback.
- Conduct periodic field visits for supportive supervision of the collaborating partners.
- Conduct data quality audits and validate project data with available Primary & secondary source of evidence.
- Any other responsibilities may be assigned by the Line Manager.

Required Experience and Education
|
- Education: Graduation in Statistics or Social Sciences. Post-graduation is an added advantage.
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in the similar position. Proven experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks and systems including capacity building
- Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in data management, Data Visualization and analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, Power BI or other statistical tools). Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of M&E methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
