1. Child Safety Redressal and Case Management:
Act as a first-line responder for child safety concerns reported from classrooms, schools, and communities.
Manage end-to-end redressal of child safety cases in alignment with Teach For India’s Child Protection Policy and defined response timelines.
Ensure timely reporting, documentation, follow-ups, and case closure while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Coordinate closely with Fellows, non-TFI teachers, Headmasters, parents/caregivers, and school authorities to support case resolution.
Liaise with government officials, child welfare committees, police, NGOs, counsellors, and other relevant systems as required for redressal and referral.

2. Awareness, Training, and Capacity Building:
Design and develop age-appropriate child safety session content (e.g., safe/unsafe touch, reporting mechanisms, self-advocacy) for implementation in Teach For India classrooms.
Develop frameworks and materials for parent engagement on child safety, including awareness, prevention, and reporting pathways.
Support the design and strengthening of training modules and resources for Fellows and school staff on identifying, reporting, and responding to child safety concerns, in alignment with organizational protocols.
Participate in internal trainings, supervision spaces, and learning forums to continuously strengthen social work and child protection practice.

3. Community Engagement and Advocacy:
Plan and conduct 2–3 child safety–focused community events annually in assigned communities to build awareness and preventive action.
Engage with community members and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to strengthen collective responsibility for child safety.
Support advocacy initiatives aimed at strengthening child protection systems at the local level.

4. Documentation, Reporting, and Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation for all cases and interventions.
Support data collection and reporting requirements related to child safety cases and outreach activities.
Ensure adherence to all internal protocols, SOPs, and legal requirements related to child protection.

5. Team Integration and Collaboration
The Social Worker will actively participate in all key city team spaces, including City Conferences, team huddles, weekly team meetings, planning forums, and review meetings. This engagement will help build strong working relationships with team members, develop a deep understanding of team culture, and gain contextual insight into partnered schools, Fellows, and the broader ecosystem. This will enable more effective collaboration, alignment, and contribution within the city team.
