Position Role
The Senior Manager, Individual Giving will provide strategic leadership to ChildFund India in raising resources from individual supporters through Face-to-Face (F2F), Telemarketing, Digital Fundraising, and High Net-Worth Individual (HNI) engagement. The role will embed analytics into fundraising operations to ensure data-driven decision-making, campaign optimisation, and donor retention.
Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the safeguarding policy and procedures and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with ChildFund’s Safeguarding Policy.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic leadership and fundraising initiatives
- Lead in drafting and executing strategies for quality acquisition, donor retention, and increasing lifetime value of individual donors across F2F, Telemarketing, Digital, and HNI channels.
- Deliver income targets for IFR ensuring efficiency and ROI.
- Develop a business case for in-house F2F fundraising.
- Track progress against KPIs, income targets, and alignment with the organisational strategy.
- Conceptualize innovative ideas for raising awareness for garnering support and resources from public at large.
- Ensure alignment of fundraising opportunities with the Country Strategic Plan and other relevant norms of ChildFund India.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and processes in selection of relevant agencies and supporters for various fundraising initiative.
Fundraising Channels
- Digital Fundraising: Drive online campaigns, and social media-led donor acquisition, leverage analytics dashboards for optimisation.
- High Net-Worth Individual (HNI) Fundraising: Build tailored donor journeys, personalised stewardship, and bespoke reporting for HNIs.
- Face-to-Face (F2F) Fundraising: Lead F2F operations, including recruitment, training, and monitoring; innovate engagement strategies to improve donor acquisition and retention.
- Telemarketing: Oversee telemarketing campaigns, donor conversion strategies, and integration with other IFR channels.
Donor servicing and reporting
- Support in designing and execution of relevant communication and branding strategies to support fund raising initiatives.
- Develop innovative strategies, plans and systems for improved donor experience and donor upgrade /recapture
- Responsible for high quality donor servicing and regular communications, such as mailers and newsletter, with individual supporters, corporates and institutions.
- Ensure timely completion and delivery of internal and external reporting requirements.
Skills Building & Capacity Development
- Update and deliver training plans for partner agency and internal staff to strengthen fundraising skills in F2F, HNI, and Digital.
- Build team capacity to handle donor queries and potential issues effectively.
- Ensure proper use of collaterals (pitch cards, welcome Kits, digital donation sites) to aid donor communication.
Monitoring & Problem Solving
- Set up systems to monitor KPIs such as:
- Weekly acquisition
- Attrition and retention
- Lead acquisition and management
- Digital conversion
- Cost-benefit analysis per channel
- Provide inputs to improve efficiency of donor acquisition through evidence-based approaches.
- Lead in resolving issues and addressing challenges across IFR channels.
Team Management
- Manage Individual Fundraising team
- Orient/train and mentor teams for effective delivery of fundraising plan and targets.
- Responsible for periodic performance review of teams and recognize best performances.
- As a member of the CLT, participate and represent organisataion in various internal and external forums.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned by the Line Manager from time to time.
Required Experience and Education
- Education: Graduate in Management/Marketing/Social Sciences. Post-Graduate or equivalent will be a plus.
- Experience: 8–10 years’ experience in individual fundraising/resource mobilization leading around 10-member team. Proven track record in digital fundraising, HNI relationship management, F2F, and telemarketing.
- Skills & Abilities: Evidence-based analytical skills. Strong donor relations and engagement skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal). Adept in using computers, particularly in using Microsoft Office suite applications.
