Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI):
ASCI is an autonomous body working as Sector Skill Council under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), dedicated to enhancing vocational education and creating National Occupational Standards (NOS) for agriculture and allied sectors. Our mission involves promoting employment, facilitating government skilling initiatives and organizing Rozgar Melas in collaboration with diverse stakeholders. ASCI also functions as the apex body for skill development in the Agriculture and Allied Sectors and is recognized as an Awarding Body by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).
In past 13 years, ASCI has trained & certified approximately 1.6 million workforces comprising of farmers, wage workers, entrepreneurs and extension workers across Pan India under the different schemes and domain of agriculture and allied segments.
Job Description
The job requires the Manager – Industry Connect to manage and strengthen engagement with industries for job demand aggregation, placement facilitation, and promotion of apprenticeship opportunities across various skill development schemes in the agriculture sector.
• Job Demand Aggregation: Identify, map and consolidate job demand from industries across agriculture and allied sectors.
• Placement Facilitation: Coordinate with training partners, industry stakeholders and candidates for successful placement outcomes under different government and CSR skill development schemes.
• Industry Engagement: Build and maintain strong industry relationships to understand workforce requirements and create sustainable placement pipelines.
• Apprenticeship Promotion: Promote National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)/NAC among candidates and industries; coordinate enrolments and compliance.
• Coordination: Work closely with government departments, private industries, training providers and other stakeholders for placement and apprenticeship-related activities.
• Data Management: Maintain databases of industry demand, placed candidates, and apprenticeship enrolment on relevant portals.
• Reporting: Prepare periodic placement, demand aggregation and apprenticeship progress reports as required by schemes/ministries.
• Support: Assist in overall implementation of ASCI projects – Govt/CSR/fee-based – specifically related to industry linkage and outcome achievement.
• Additional tasks as per organizational requirement.

• Strong communication skills and English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle complex assignments independently.
• Excellent command on MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Meticulous, process-oriented and attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work with leadership team members and collaborate effectively.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Clear understanding and interest in the agriculture and vocational skill ecosystem.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, craft solutions and recommend actions.
Educational Qualification
Post Graduate in Agriculture or Allied Sector or Agriculture Extension or Agribusiness, preferably from IRMA/MANAGE/NIAM/VAMNICOM/IIPM or any other reputed Agribusiness Management Program.
Experience (no. of years & kind)
4–5 years of similar experience in industry engagement, placements, or apprenticeship promotion in agriculture-related industries after Post-Graduation.
