Job Description for 'Community Organizer'

Name of the Organisation: Good Shepherd Convent, Chennai
Work Place: Nungambakkam (Chennai)
Salary: Rs. 25000/-
Qualification: MSW (CD) with a minimum of two years experience.
Age/Gender:-25 to 45 years/Female

- Planning and undertaking field visits and facilitating the community for project activities
-Identifying target women and motivating them to form SHG's and support for its effective functioning.
-Organising Awareness programs on various themes such as rights of women and girls, reproductive health, social issues, etc.
-Organising training and capacity building of leaders of the groups.
-Support the coordinator and team in conducting training, meetings, workshops, advocacy and community awareness programs.
-Identifying the training needs of the community and organizing training as per the need.
-Regular communication with relevant local organizations, networks and local government officials.
-Write reports of events and implemented activities on time.
-Ensuring accuracy and highest level of transparency in financial management, records and fund utilization.
