1. Project Background
Jagran Pehel, a division of Shri Puranchandra Gupta Smarak Trust invites proposals from qualified agencies, studios, and technology partners for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of an interactive hygiene-focused gaming platform aimed at children and young users.
The objective of this initiative is to promote hygiene awareness through engaging, educational, and gamified mobile experiences.
The selected vendor will be responsible for end-to-end execution including:
- UI/UX Design
- Game Development
- Backend Development
- QA & Testing
- Deployment Support
- Maintenance & Support
- Scalability Planning
- Performance Monitoring & Analytics
The platform is intended to deliver a premium mobile-first experience across Android and iOS ecosystems.
Optimization for:
- Low-end devices
- Limited memory and processing power
2. Project Objective
The primary objective of this project is to create an engaging digital gaming ecosystem that:
- Encourages hygiene awareness among children
- Promotes habit-building through gamification
- Provides long-term user engagement
- Supports scalable future expansion
- Delivers high-quality interactive experiences
- Enables performance tracking and analytics
- Creates measurable hygiene learning outcomes through age-appropriate digital engagement and behavioural science principles
The initiative aims to combine behavioural science, digital engagement, and age-appropriate gamification to create meaningful and measurable hygiene learning outcomes.
3. Scope of Work (SOW)
Jagran Pehel, intends to onboard a digital agency/technology partner for the conceptualization, design, development, deployment, and support of a hygiene-focused interactive gaming ecosystem consisting of 4 mobile games.
The games are expected to be simple, engaging, child-friendly, educational, and highly interactive with strong gamification elements to drive awareness and behavioural learning around hygiene practices.
The gaming ecosystem should be designed to create long-term engagement while keeping gameplay mechanics easy to understand and accessible for children.
The selected agency will be responsible for:
- Conceptualization of game journeys and experiences
- UI/UX design and visual storytelling
- Character integration and asset development
- Mobile game development for Android and iOS
- Gameplay balancing and optimization
- QA and testing
- Deployment support
- Maintenance and post-launch support
- Performance analytics and reporting
- Scalability planning for future enhancements
The games should broadly revolve around hygiene awareness, healthy habits, and behaviour-change learning themes relevant to children and young users.
The gameplay mechanics are expected to be lightweight, intuitive, and engaging with:
- Simple controls
- Game-based learning
- Child-friendly interactions
- Multi-level progression
- Leader board/Score tracking
- Reward and achievement systems
- Behavioural reinforcement mechanisms
The selected vendor will also be expected to propose:
- Creative gameplay concepts
- Progression systems
- Gamification strategies
- Future scalability opportunities
- User engagement models
- Analytics frameworks
The games shall initially be developed in English language. The architecture should allow future multilingual scalability if required.
Eligibility Criteria
The participating vendor/agency must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- The vendor must have prior experience in delivering gaming projects for CPG/FMCG brands.
- The vendor must have served at least 20 companies in the CPG/FMCG sector.
- The vendor must have experience working with FTSE 100 companies.
- The vendor should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in gaming and interactive digital app experiences.
- The vendor should have previously worked as a Reckitt vendor.
- The vendor should have executed at least 5 CSR-related digital or gaming projects.
- The vendor should never have been blacklisted by Reckitt.
- The vendor should have backend and cloud deployment expertise.
- The vendor should maintain strict confidentiality and data security practices.
- The vendor should have prior experience in educational technology (EdTech), learning-based gaming, or public-good digital gaming ecosystems.
- The vendor should demonstrate understanding and implementation capability for child-safe and age-appropriate gaming design standards.
- The vendor must comply with applicable data privacy and protection regulations including DPDP Act and GDPR where applicable.
- The vendor should have documented policies or frameworks related to child protection, child-safe digital experiences, age classification standards, and content moderation.
- The vendor should demonstrate experience in behaviour change communication, child psychology-informed engagement, or educational learning models.
