Job Descriptions – Trainers for Skill Development Centre, Bhogapuram
Employment Type - Yearly Contract
GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF), the CSR arm of GMR Group, is establishing a new Skill Development Centre at Bhogapuram under the CSR initiative of GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL). The centre aims to provide industry-relevant vocational training to unemployed youth and enhance their employability.
GMRVF invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the following Trainer positions on a yearly contract basis.
1. Trainer – Food & Beverage Service Steward
Course : Food & Beverage Service Steward
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theory and practical sessions on food & beverage service operations.
- Train students in restaurant service, table setup, guest handling, billing, hygiene, and hospitality etiquette.
- Conduct mock service sessions and practical assessments.
- Ensure proper maintenance of training equipment and service areas.
- Support trainees for interviews and placements in hospitality industries.
- Coordinate with industry partners for exposure visits and placements.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management/Hospitality.
- Certification aligned with Tourism & Hospitality Sector Skill Council (THSC) preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant industry or training experience.
- Preference for candidates with ToT certification.
2. Trainer – Multi Cuisine Cook
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct theory and practical training in Indian, Chinese, Continental, and other cuisines.
- Train students on food preparation, kitchen operations, hygiene, food safety, and presentation.
- Demonstrate cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen equipment handling.
- Conduct assessments and practical evaluations.
- Maintain kitchen inventory, equipment, and safety standards.
- Prepare lesson plans and maintain batch records.
- Support placement activities and industry interactions.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to food safety norms.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Degree/Diploma/Certification in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
- Certification aligned with Tourism & Hospitality Sector Skill Council (THSC) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of industry/training experience in culinary operations.
- ToT certification preferred.
3. Trainer – Retail Sales Executive
Course : Retail Sales Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training on retail operations, customer handling, sales process, billing, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Conduct practical role plays and customer interaction sessions.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and trainee reports.
- Train students in soft skills, communication, and workplace behaviour.
- Coordinate with employers for placements and industry exposure.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate/Diploma in Retail/Marketing/Business Administration or relevant field.
- Certification aligned with Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India (RASCI) preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of retail industry or training experience.
- ToT certification preferred.
General Instructions
- Candidates willing to work in rural/semi-urban locations will be preferred.
- Salary shall be commensurate with qualification and experience.
- Candidates with prior experience in skill development projects will be given preference.
