About the Role

The Cluster Coordinator will be responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of up to 40 creche centres (one unit). The role involves close coordination with supervisors, caregivers, community stakeholders, and program teams to ensure quality childcare services, community engagement, and smooth program implementation.

The Cluster Coordinator plays a leadership and support role, ensuring effective planning, monitoring, capacity building, and service delivery across all assigned centres.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Setup Phase
* Support planning and coordination for team orientation and training programs
* Work with Program Manager to engage block-level stakeholders
* Analyse ICDS data and develop village-level intervention plans
* Guide supervisors and team members in implementation planning

2. Set-up Phase
* Lead community mobilisation and identification of villages
* Coordinate with PRIs, Anganwadi workers, and ASHA workers
* Facilitate Gram Sabhas and community meetings
* Oversee creche space identification, setup, and safety readiness
* Support beneficiary identification (line listing) and home visits
* Lead caregiver selection and documentation processes
* Coordinate logistics, materials, and training arrangements
* Ensure centres are fully prepared for operations

3. Operational Phase
* Develop daily and weekly operational plans
* Support child enrolment and regular home visits
* Conduct regular field visits to monitor creche functioning
* Provide handholding support to supervisors and caregivers
* Identify training needs and support capacity building
* Monitor child growth and development activities
* Conduct weekly review and planning meetings
* Ensure safety and quality standards across all centres
* Use digital tools for monitoring and reporting
* Maintain proper documentation and records
* Coordinate with frontline workers for health and referral services
* Participate in community meetings and stakeholder engagement

Team Management
* Supervise and support 4 Supervisors
* Ensure team well-being, performance, and professional development
* Provide regular feedback and mentoring
* Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Education, or related field
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in community-based programs
* Experience in early childhood care, nutrition, or health programs preferred
* Prior experience in team handling and field coordination
