ABOUT RISHI FOUNDATION
The RISHI Foundation is a newly launched nonprofit organization, serving orphans and vulnerable children in India in a unique and meaningful manner. The flagship programs, I’mPossible Fellowship and the Positive Running Program serve over 1,000 children living with or affected by HIV in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Foundation aims to scale its programs, strengthen impact measurement, and equip young people with the skills and confidence to transition successfully into adulthood and contribute meaningfully to society.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Program Director will lead the coordination, implementation, and oversight of RISHI Foundation’s programs in India. This role requires a hands-on program manager who can support execution, strengthen systems, and align stakeholders across program and donor engagement functions. The Program Director will work closely with the core team, partners, and leadership to ensure high-quality program delivery consistent with the Foundation’s mission, values, and commitment to child rights.
POSITION DETAILS
Full-time, in-person.
Location: RISHI Foundation Office: Bangalore (Snehadaan, Carmalaram, Sarjapur Rd) and Snehagram, Krishnagiri (45min from Electronic city)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program management
- Oversee day-to-day implementation of RISHI Foundation programs in India
- Support planning, execution, and continuous improvement of program activities
- Monitor program performance, track outputs, and ensure timely reporting
Team leadership
- Provide guidance and supervision to program staff and fellows
- Foster a collaborative, mission-driven team environment
- Support capacity building and professional development of team members
Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
- Strengthen data collection, quality assurance, and reporting systems
- Track participant progress and program outcomes
- Support documentation of program achievements and impact
Communications
- Oversee program-related communications, including digital and print platforms
- Support development of content highlighting program impact and participant stories
- Coordinate with leadership on donor communication and engagement
Financial oversight
- Review program budgets and expenditures
- Support financial tracking, reporting, and accountability processes
Partnerships
- Utilize opportunities for international exchange with partners in US, Europe and Africa
- Collaborate with leadership to support grant development and fundraising efforts
- Build and maintain relationships with partners in health, education, and social sectors in India and abroad
Program-Specific Responsibilities
I’mPossible Fellowship
- Support implementation, monitoring, and mentorship structures for Fellows
- Provide guidance to core team leaders to track fellow/peer performance, attendance, and program deliverables
- Facilitate regular communication and resource sharing across the Fellowship network
Positive Running Program
- Coordinate with program leads and partners to ensure effective implementation
- Integrate health, education, and psychosocial components across activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Education, Development Studies, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in program management in the social or development sector
- Strong organizational, project management, and data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Kannada preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Experience in team supervision and capacity building
- Commitment to child rights, equity, and social impact
