YRG is the sub-recipient of the GFATM 2024–27 cycle of funding from NACO to implement the Virtual Interventions Program. This project focuses on IT-enabled virtual strategy and management of the NACO Helpline (1097), with a strong emphasis on digital outreach, engagement, awareness generation, and service linkages for adolescents and young people.
Role Overview
The Content Manager- Graphic Design will be responsible for conceptualising and creating visually engaging digital content to support outreach, awareness, demand generation, and communication activities under the Virtual Interventions Program. The role involves developing creative assets for social media campaigns, online engagement, educational communication, and virtual interventions targeted towards adolescents and youth.
The Content Manager- Graphic Design will work closely with the Virtual Navigators, and the online platform team to ensure all communication materials are innovative, audience-appropriate, evidence-informed, and aligned with NACO guidelines and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design and Content Development
- Design visually appealing digital creatives for social media platforms, awareness campaigns, and online outreach activities.
- Develop graphics, illustrations, infographics, GIFs, reels, motion graphics, posters, banners, and short video assets for digital engagement.
- Create campaign-specific visual content focused on HIV prevention, stigma reduction, myths and misconceptions, testing, treatment adherence, and service linkages.
- Support the creation of testimonials, case stories, educational content, and youth-centric communication materials.
Branding and Communication
- Ensure all creative materials maintain consistency with project branding guidelines and communication standards.
- Adapt content creatively for different platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, and other virtual outreach channels.
- Support the development of templates and creative toolkits for virtual navigators and outreach teams.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with the virtual intervention teams to understand campaign objectives and translate them into compelling visual content.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and partners for review and approval of creatives when required.
- Incorporate feedback from programme teams and continuously improve creative outputs based on audience engagement and analytics.
Digital Media Support
- Assist in planning and executing digital media campaigns targeting adolescents and youth populations.
- Support online engagement activities through timely development of creatives for awareness days, campaigns, and project initiatives.
- Optimise designs for mobile-first communication and social media performance.
Quality and Compliance
- Ensure all visual content complies with organisational policies, ethical communication standards, and relevant Indian laws.
- Maintain proper documentation and organised archives of creative assets and project materials.
- Ensure sensitive and health-related communication is designed respectfully and appropriately for diverse audiences.
Reporting and Documentation
- Support preparation of monthly updates and creative activity reports.
- Track creative deliverables and maintain records of campaign materials developed under the project.
Additional Duties
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor in support of project objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in graphic design, digital media, or creative communication.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent tools.
- Experience in creating content for social media and digital campaigns.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, short-form video editing, and multimedia design will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of youth-focused digital communication trends and social media engagement.
- Excellent creativity, visual storytelling, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working in the development sector, public health, HIV/AIDS programmes, or social impact communication will be preferred.
