NIRMAN is a professionally managed development organization working across the Indian states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Assam in the areas of Agroforestry and Food System Transformation, Landscape Restoration, Knowledge Co-creation, and Humanitarian Response. NIRMAN is currently implementing large-scale CSR programs focusing on millet-based farming systems, integrated agriculture, irrigation, collective enterprise-based marketing, renewable energy solutions, and holistic rural development.

Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Social Work, Rural Development, Tribal Development, MBA, or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the development sector including 2 to 3 years in managing large CSR-funded development programs with reputed corporate houses.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, donor reporting, and team management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, MIS platforms, data collection applications, and other relevant software.
Specific Skills & Competencies
- Preparation and management of Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs)
- Concept note preparation, Proposal development & budgeting of projects
- Project planning, execution, and activity-wise physical & financial progress tracking
- MIS management for project monitoring and reporting
- Development of Internal monitoring and quality assurance strategies
- Donor communication, reporting, and compliance management
- Stakeholder engagement and partnership development
- Team management, supervision, and capacity building along with hand- holding supports
- Documentation, report writing, and knowledge management
- Data analysis and preparation of project reports
- Organizational branding and visibility enhancement through success stories and knowledge-sharing platforms
- Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations.
Responsibility
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs aligned with NIRMAN's thematic areas and strategic objectives
- Develop innovative, sustainable, environmentally responsible, and economically viable program models in collaboration with stakeholders and technical experts
- Monitor project progress and staff performance against approved indicators, targets, and deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure quality implementation and timely achievement of program outcomes
- Prepare and manage project budgets in coordination with the Finance Manager, including expenditure tracking, financial reporting, and audit compliances
- Build and maintain effective relationships with farmers, community institutions, government departments, CSR partners, donors, and other stakeholders
- Lead donor communication, reporting, documentation, and compliance processes
- Prepare high-quality progress reports, presentations, case studies, and learning documents
- Support organizational growth through fundraising, proposal development, partnership building, and identification of new opportunities
- Promote organizational visibility through workshops, events, stakeholder consultations, and dissemination of best practices and success stories
- Contribute to the expansion of NIRMAN's programs and outreach to vulnerable communities across Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Assam.
Reporting to: Executive Director, NIRMAN
Travel Requirement: Extensive travel (approximately 60% of working time) is required.
Remuneration/Salary: Rs. 50,000 to 60,000 per month (negotiable, depending on the competency of the candidate)
