Karl Kübel Foundation for Child and Family (KKF) is evolving into a nationally recognized centre of excellence for institutional strengthening, transformative learning, and ecosystem development. Located in the socio-ecologically sensitive Anaikatti/ Nilgiris area near Coimbatore, KKF and the Karl Kübel Institute for Development Education (KKID) provide a unique platform for immersive learning, collaborative engagement, innovation, and systems-level change. KKID has a serene, carbon-neutral, biodiverse campus in the Anaikatti hills in the Nilgiris range of Coimbatore.
Position Overview
The Head – Partnerships & Impact is a key member of KKF’s Core Leadership Team and shall work closely with the Executive Director to strengthen institutional growth, partnerships, visibility, ecosystem engagement, and long-term sustainability to achieve organizational goals.
The role requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and relationship-oriented leader capable of building strategic collaborations, mobilizing resources, convening multi-stakeholder platforms, and strengthening KKF’s national and international positioning. The incumbent should be equally comfortable engaging with corporates, donors, governments, academia, media, and grassroots institutions, while bringing a strong passion for social and environmental change.
The position carries significant strategic and operational responsibility, requiring independent leadership, lateral and systems thinking, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration within the framework of KKF’s Strategic Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other business verticals in KKF and provide strategic and operational leadership and line management to the Partnerships & Impact vertical
- Build, mentor, and guide high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and mission-driven organizational culture
- Drive institutional growth and sustainability to contribute to KKF’s resource mobilization goals while partnering with multiple donor types,
- Steer partnerships, outreach, visibility, and impact strategies aligned with KKF’s mission and business plan.
- Lead organizational storytelling, strategic communication, impact documentation, and visibility initiatives.
- Conceptualize and facilitate multi-stakeholder collaborations, Indo-German engagements, convenings, and sector platforms.
- Conceptualize and implement innovative and impactful field projects aligned with emerging societal and environmental priorities for KKF
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Postgraduate degree with minimum 7 years of relevant experience or graduate with more than 10 years of relevant experience
- Target orientation and demonstrated ability to raise resources or achieve sales targets
- Good knowledge of emerging social, environmental, and technological trends, including digital transformation and AI-enabled ecosystems.
- Understanding of the elements of capacity building, social enterprise or NGOs in India
- Team player with demonstrated ability to work with multiple departments and groups within the organization
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage relationships and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication, convening, networking, storytelling, branding, fundraising abilities.
Desirable
- Candidates from the private sector with a strong interest in social and environmental impact are encouraged to apply

- Working knowledge of Tamil and familiarity with South Indian institutional and social contexts would be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with NGO scales, qualifications, experience and organizational fit. The position is based in the KKID Campus in Coimbatore. We can provide housing for interested candidates in our campus if required.
