Job Profile & Description – GF Pediatric TB Project

POSITION : Hand Held X-Ray Coordinator

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 02 (TWO)

REPORTS TO : District ACF Coordinator

LOCATION : Kaithal in Haryana and Jalandhar in Punjab

Project Tenure : Up to 31st March 2027

Background:
World Health Partners (WHP) is a non-profit organisation mandated to deliver holistic healthcare to underserved communities by innovatively leveraging available resources more efficiently. Evidence-based management and sophisticated technological solutions to work in extremely low-resource settings are the hallmarks of WHP’s programming strategy. WHP believes that it is unconscionable to divide resources on an ideological basis—such as between the public and private sectors—since low-resource settings mandate a focus on collectivising all existing resources to achieve better outcomes.

WHP is best known for its programs focused on early detection and treatment of tuberculosis in urban and rural settings, supported by community-based activities to ensure prevention. WHP currently operates its projects in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi.

About the project:
With the support of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) and guidance from the Central TB Division, SAATHII as Principal Recipient (PR) is implementing; (a) Integrated Pediatric TB care services in both the public and private health sectors to increase pediatric TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes, and (b) Active Case Finding (ACF) for early detection of missing TB cases among key and vulnerable populations, using innovative AI-enabled portable X-ray devices. The project implementation will be carried out through SubRecipient (SR) partners in the states of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. WHP is the implementing partner in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana.

WHP is looking for a Hand Held X-Ray Coordinator based in various districts of Punjab and Haryana for the ground level implementation of the project "Decentralizing Pediatric TB Care Services in Public & Private Health Sector and enhance case detection through ACF with Handheld X-Ray across selected geographies” in these two states.
