About the Assignment |

In India, DAY-NRLM under the Ministry of Rural Development, GoI, signed an MoU with BRAC to support the implementation of an inclusive livelihoods programme (Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana – SAY) for households living in extreme vulnerability. BRAC International further signed an LoE with MHSRLM and MoU with IGS to set up the state programme management unit (SPMU) within MHSRLM (UMED) to facilitate comprehensive coordination and oversight of SAY. IGS will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and aligning various facets of the initiative, ensuring integration with different components and supporting the programme’s overall implementation in the state of Maharashtra.

Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana supported by DAY-NRLM is an important initiative aimed at making extremely vulnerable rural families empowered and self-reliant by linking them with Self Help Groups (SHGs). MILP is also called as “Maha-Samriddhi Yojana” (MSY).

Maha Samruddhi aims to build self-confidence, social inclusion, and prosperity via inclusive livelihoods at the last mile. This programme aims to introduce holistic productive inclusion strategies to improve the lives of excluded populations, particularly women. It will implement a globally proven 'graduation approach' to facilitate rural CBOs and women, targeting households and women currently facing challenges in benefiting from the SHG network.

The goal also extends to the inclusion of households and esp. women currently excluded from mainstream activities and entitlements offered by the state government.

Role description |

  • Develop training modules and learning frameworks tailored to district-specific needs and different stakeholder groups.
  • Design innovative training methodologies and manage Training of Trainers (ToT) and certification processes.
  • Coordinate with government departments, MSRLM, and partner agencies for effective programme implementation and convergence.
  • Develop and strengthen Resource Person cadres and support the creation of high-quality training and audio-visual learning materials.
  • Establish and maintain online/offline knowledge repositories, documenting training resources, best practices, and programme reports.
  • Ensure integration of gender, poverty reduction, and sustainable livelihood approaches in all capacity-building initiatives.
  • Perform any other programme-related responsibilities assigned by the State Anchor, MSRLM, or Reporting Officer (RO).
  • The job requires extensive field level engagement with members and needs extensive daily travel to the villages
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Rural Development, Social Work (MSW), Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Livelihoods, Development Studies, Management, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
