About the Organization
Nari Gunjan (Women’s Voice), founded in 1987 by Padmashree awardee Sudha Varghese, is a Patna-based non-profit working with the Musahar community. The organization focuses on women’s empowerment, education, and health. Through its Mobile Learning Resource Centre initiative, Nari Gunjan is mainstreaming out-of-school children across five blocks in Bihar, ensuring girls are enrolled in government schools.

Role Purpose
The Computer Teacher will conduct structured computer classes (primary to Class 12), deliver practical training, and facilitate career linkages to ensure digital literacy translates into employability.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver computer classes covering MS Office, internet use, digital tools, and basic coding.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and remedial support for learners.
Maintain student records, progress reports, and document success stories.
Facilitate internships, placements, and career guidance (CVs, interviews, digital portfolios).
Conduct community awareness sessions and collaborate with schools/NGOs for outreach.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Student enrolment and training completion.
Improvement in digital literacy levels.
Successful student placements in jobs, internships, or higher education.
Timely reporting and documentation.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field.
2–4 years of experience in teaching computer skills/IT training.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, internet applications, and basic coding.
Experience in student counselling/placement facilitation preferred.
Proficiency in Hindi & English; local dialects an asset.
