Lok Astha Sewa Sansthan (LASS) is a non-profit organization working since 2006 to empower Indigenous and marginalized communities in Chhattisgarh. The organization focuses on women’s empowerment, child development, sustainable livelihoods, natural resource management, climate resilience, health, education, governance, and community-led development.

Position Summary
The Program Officer – Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting will play a key role in strengthening program quality through effective documentation, monitoring, reporting, knowledge management, and proposal development. The position will work across all organizational projects and closely coordinate with field teams, coordinators, finance staff, and management to ensure timely reporting and high-quality program documentation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Program Monitoring
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation.
• Track project progress against work plans, indicators, and targets.
• Verify field data and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Prepare monitoring reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Support quality improvement of ongoing programs.

2. Documentation
• Develop high-quality project documentation.
• Prepare case studies, success stories, human-interest stories, and field reports.
• Maintain photographs, videos, testimonials, and project records.
• Document best practices and lessons learned.
• Ensure proper filing of project documents.

3. Reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual program reports.
• Prepare donor narrative reports.
• Compile information from different projects into consolidated organizational reports.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of reports.
• Maintain reporting calendars and deadlines.

4. Proposal Development
• Support development of concept notes and project proposals.
• Collect baseline information and secondary data.
• Prepare logical frameworks, activity plans, and result frameworks.
• Coordinate with technical staff during proposal preparation.

5. Monitoring & Evaluation Support
• Support development of monitoring tools and reporting formats.
• Assist in baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
• Analyze program data and prepare summary reports.
• Support data quality checks and verification.

6. Coordination
• Coordinate with Coordinators and Field Facilitators.
• Attend project review meetings.
• Support planning and implementation of workshops, exposure visits, and training programs.
• Maintain regular communication with field teams.

7. Knowledge Management
• Maintain digital and physical documentation.
• Develop presentations and communication materials.
• Prepare newsletters and organizational updates.
• Support website and social media content related to program achievements.

8. Other Responsibilities
• Travel regularly to project villages.
• Perform other program-related assignments as required by the organization.
• Uphold organizational values, child safeguarding, and ethical standards.

Essential Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), Rural Development, Sociology, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related discipline.
• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and significant relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in NGO or development sector.
• Experience in project monitoring and documentation.
• Experience in donor reporting.
• Experience in proposal writing.
• Experience working with rural and Indigenous communities will be preferred.

Preferred
• Experience working with International NGOs or donor-funded projects.
• Experience in women's empowerment, livelihoods, climate resilience, natural resource management, child rights, or Indigenous community development.
• Knowledge of Results-Based Management (RBM).
• Experience using similar digital data collection tools.
• Knowledge of AI tools .

Languages
• Hindi – Essential
• English – Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking (Excellent written communication skills are essential.

Salary
Rs 35,000–Rs 40,000 per month (Negotiable based on qualification and relevant experience.)
