Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Project Coordinator – (Research)/Senior Researcher on a contractual basis:
Candidates possessing a minimum of 3 years or more of relevant experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Project Coordinator (Research). However, candidates shortlisted with less than 3 years of relevant experience will be considered for the position of Senior Researcher.

Number of Positions: 1
Tenure- This position is offered initially for 1 year but extendable till the completion of the project. (2027-2028)
Project: Internal Police Reforms Project
Location- Indian Police Foundation HQ, New Delhi (C-8, 8758, Vasant Kunj
New Delhi - 110070) Although the position is in Delhi, the APC- Research/Senior Researcher is expected to travel to various (3 states) both for research as well as project implementation and monitoring.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Educational Qualification: M.A in Police Sciences/Criminology /Social Work/Public Safety/Law or any other related field. However, candidates with Ph.D. in relevant domains will be preferred.
- Researcher/Consultant with experience of 3 years or more (in the domains of policing, criminology, citizen-centric policing, gender- and child-sensitive policing) in universities, other research institutes, NGOs, think tanks, or consulting firms. (Minimum experience may be relaxed in exceptional cases at the discretion of the Project Director).
- Proficiency in data collection and data analysis (Qualitative & Quantitative) & Report Writing.
- Strong coordination and leadership skills for engagement with senior police officers, trainers, research staff and other research institutions
- High level of proficiency in computer skills.
- Willingness and good health to undertake field visits (as and when required).
- Good command over English and Hindi.
- Attend the IPF office at Vasant Kunj, Delhi, on a regular basis.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working with Police organisations.
- Familiarity with-
- Criminal laws (major & minor)
- Relevant Supreme Court judgments & NHRC directives
- MHA and State Government circulars related to citizen centric policing.
- Recommendations of various police commissions, including the National Police Commission (1979-81), related to citizen centric policing.
- Publications of Research papers/articles in various journals/magazines /Newspapers.
Salary and other Service Conditions-
- The selected candidate will have to give the undertaking in the form of the bond to serve for minimum period of one year.
- Assistant Project Coordinator – (Research): ?75,000 per month (including ?5000 as transport allowance)
- Senior Researcher -?60,000 per month (including ?5000 as transport allowance)
- Economy-class airfare for visits to various States and UTs
- Accommodation in police guest houses (or will be reimbursed as per IPF policy).
- Other service conditions will be governed by IPF HR and other policies
Selection Process:
Selection will be based on a written examination and an interview (if you clear the written exam) to be held on 12th & 13 August 2026 at IPF HQ New Delhi.
