About the Program
Jhpiego provides strategic technical assistance to the Government of India's National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) to accelerate TB elimination through health systems strengthening, implementation research, digital innovations, and evidence-based interventions. Working closely with the Central TB Division (CTD), State TB Cells, the National Health Mission (NHM), and development partners, Jhpiego supports the delivery of high-quality, people-centered TB services across the continuum of care.
The program implements several national and multi-state initiatives, including the Pro TB Impact Project, which strengthens TB service delivery at the primary healthcare level by integrating routine TB screening into Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) and maternal health services, promoting differentiated care for high-risk TB patients, and establishing learning labs to generate evidence for scalable interventions. Jhpiego also leads the Cough Syrup Sales Surveillance Initiative, an innovative pharmacy and AYUSH-linked surveillance model that leverages digital technologies, community engagement, and referral systems to enable early identification of individuals with presumptive TB and ensure timely linkage to diagnostic and treatment services under NTEP.
About the Position
Jhpiego is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to support the implementation and coordination of national and state-level TB initiatives.
The incumbent will provide technical, operational, and program management support across multiple TB projects, ensuring effective implementation in accordance with approved work plans, timelines, donor requirements, and Jhpiego policies. The position requires independent management of assigned workstreams, coordination with government and implementation partners, preparation of high-quality technical documentation, monitoring of project deliverables, and support for day-to-day project operations.
The successful candidate should possess strong organizational, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Program Coordination and Implementation Support
• Independently coordinate selected project activities in line with work plans and timelines.
• Track deliverables, identify risks, and proactively escalate delays with recommended mitigation.
• Provide technical and operational support to field teams to ensure activity quality and adherence to standards.
• Contribute to development of technical briefs, implementation notes, and program presentations.
2. Stakeholder and Relationship Management
• Liaise with district/state stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners for smooth program execution.
• Build effective working relationships to enable timely communication, joint reviews, and activity follow-ups.
• Represent the project in selected technical discussions, review meetings, and coordination forums.
3. Meetings, Reviews and Documentation
• Lead coordination of program meetings, technical reviews, and trainings at national/state/district levels.
• Prepare high-quality minutes, tracking sheets, action plans, and follow-up matrices.
• Support development of donor reports (monthly/quarterly/annual), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
4. Operations, Logistics and Finance Coordination
• Independently handle logistics, and procurement coordination as per organizational
• policies.
• Track budgets, GRFs, activity expenses, purchase requests, and settlements.
• Maintain updated records of procurements, inventory, and key documentation.
5. Monitoring, Data and Knowledge Management
• Maintain trackers, dashboards, and databases for monitoring deliverables and program outputs.
• Support data collation and validation from field teams.
• Document learnings, best practices, and case studies to contribute to knowledge management.
6. Other Responsibilities
• Provide cross-team coordination support for training, workshops, and reviews.
• Undertake additional tasks aligned with project goals as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s in business administration/ post graduate diploma/ master’s in social work/ MA/ MCom/ PG Diploma/ MSc or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in program coordination, project management, or implementation support, preferably in public health or development programs.
• Experience working with donor-funded projects and government stakeholders is desirable.
• Prior experience with the NTEP or TB-related programs will be an added advantage.
