Senior Consultant – Tribal Health Cell (MoH&FW)
National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi on behalf of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the above mentioned post purely on contractual basis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· To review and report matters related to tribal health on timely manner.
· To coordinate and obtain feedback and inputs from various programme divisions of the ministry and provide analytical reports on programmes concerning tribal health.
· Document State and district level innovations.
· Undertake analytical documentation to inform required changes in policy, program planning and implementation.
· Contribute to development of specific technical and policy briefs, reports, case studies, monitoring checklists/protocols etc.
· Support in undertaking operational research and impact assessments for improving interventions in tribal health programmes.
· Undertake such other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification & Experience:
i) Essential:
· A Bachelor's degree in any of the following:
1. MBBS
2. BDS/BAMS / BHMS / BUMS (AYUSH)
3. Political Science / Social Work / Sociology / Anthropology
Post-Graduation: A Post Graduate Degree (MD / MPH /MSc) in one of the following:
1. Community Medicine
2. Public Health
3. Health Systems Research
4. Epidemiology
5. Health Policy & Planning
(Note: A Post Graduate Diploma is not sufficient for the Senior role.)
· Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the public health sector.
· At least 2 years of this experience must be demonstrably related to health systems, policy, or program implementation concerning tribal, rural, or other marginalized communities.
· Experience in documentation, data analysis, report writing and presentation.
· Coordination skills to work with States and various divisions within the ministry of health and family welfare.
· Excellent analytical skills, communication and presentation skills, and interpersonal abilities.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
· Good knowledge and experience of IT applications.
i) Desirable:
· Working knowledge of Hindi / other major regional language
· Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
· Demonstrated experience in working with Government and coordination with NGOs led health programmes in tribal areas, Primary Health Care / State level public health programmes / Policy Formulation.
Age Limit: Up to 50 Years (as on the date of receiving the application)
Work Location: The position is New Delhi based with travel to different states and districts
Remuneration Range: Between Rs. 90,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/-
*Fee offered within the band will commensurate with qualification and experience.

Written test Condition:
If the recruitment process includes a written test, a minimum qualifying mark will be 70%. However, If the number of qualifying candidates is high, a ratio of 1:5 will be adopted for 1 vacancy top 5 candidates will be considered. In case 2 or more candidates qualify with the same marks, all such candidates will be considered.
